Today I’m bringing you one of my hometown’s finest—Amala with Ewedu and Gbegiri, served the way we do it in Ilorin. This dish is more than food; it’s culture. It’s what you find at weddings, naming ceremonies, or when mama wants to show love at home.
This is the pride of Yoruba's — Straight outta Ilorin! This is what home tastes like—Amala with the classic combo of Ewedu and Gbegiri. Can’t rep my city without repping our food. @RealtyX_DAO, we global now!
Main ingredients:
Yam flour (elubo) for the Amala
Ewedu leaves (jute leaves)
Gbegiri (blended beans soup)
Spicy pepper stew and assorted Shaki(cow tripe) , Eja Alaran(fish) and pormo(Cow Skin)
I love it because it’s warm, earthy, and always reminds me of where I come from. It’s soft, stretchy, spicy, and full of flavor—just like the music we’re making with @RealtyX_DAO.
