I was a trainer in health coaching and shared decision making for years- I didn't think I could learn much about personalised care consultation skills. Then I tested myself with these avatars......and learned something.

I’m not a broadsheet editor, but I’m not sure that a trust-fund kid dependent on inherited wealth who had covert meetings with Russian operatives to help his corrupt father win an election is the best placed author of an op-ed railing against “elites” and the death of democracy.

@GhaforiAyat I did pre-reg at @GSTTnhs and then when straight to @KeeleUniversity to do my PhD (evidence informed decision-making). Now an academic while finishing my write up. If you're passionate about research, go for it.

@DrChrisGreen @aptaim @emma_davies50 Not saying I disagree with you, but why do you think graduating as a prescriber in the future is a bad thing? Dr's and vets (I think) graduate as prescribers, why not pharmacists? Are changes to the degree needed or should we not be aiming for it full stop?

Questions addressing specific elements from PAF. In process identification of variation of candidate responses & interviewer scoring. All reduce discrimination as much as possible. #PJMindTheGap

Hi @asafdar1 - can I ask, what are your thoughts on the gap identified by the @PJOnline_News survey & the quality of the data? #PJMindTheGap

@michael_dowdall This of course address one area (recruitment bias). There's a plethora of other areas where bias affects BME pharmacists in negative ways which likely all add up.

@michael_dowdall If humans are involved, bias is present. I don't think the aim is to eliminate bias but aim for transparency e.g. five mini interviews with interviewers from different backgrounds (including patients) and middle three scores aggregated (similar to the existing system)

Are there aspects of the Oriel process that could be replicated? How could interviews be conducted to remove bias? #PJMindTheGap

@asafdar1 @Clairewynn @michael_dowdall @joelamathews @PJOnline_News Unless I'm mistaken, Oriel process involves an interview therefore part an applicants score is based on the judgement of an assessor, thus, process still features bias.

While it may in future become a source of tedium, fairly pleased to have completed my first ever peer review for a journal.

@JohnathanLaird It's a shame that people have to be asked to be listen to. We're taught to listen properly at pre-school, why are pharmacists forgetting?
