Newtown has been out for 5 days. Fixed only today.
Fordsburg and other parts of Grid 6 off since yesterday (Monday) and now 30 hours+ with no power.

Johnware Substation, Newtown South Central Distributor: The power supply has been restored up to 88% for customers on Lillian Ngoyi Street, Quinn Street, as well as surrounding areas in Newtown North, parts of Fordsburg as well as parts of Central. The outage was reported on Sunday due to multiple faulty cables.
The team will continue to locate faults on the remaining load centres for repairs to be conducted.

Mayfair Substation, Amalgam Distributor: Repairs will resume tomorrow once the required materials that are still being sourced have been delivered to site.
The outage is due to a faulty cable and is affecting customers in Mayfair, Pageview, and surrounding areas.

John Ware Substation, Newtown South/ Central Distributor: Investigations have confirmed that the outage is due to a faulty switch requiring replacement. The load centre at which the faulty switch is located has been isolated.
The team is currently awaiting the required material onsite, after which repairs will commence. Restoration currently stands at 17%. In addition, the second relay plant has been tested and successfully restored.
Customers in parts of Lillian Ngoyi Street, Quinn Street, as well as surrounding areas in Newtown North & Central will continue experiencing an outage until the power supply has been restored fully.
