@CityPowerJhb You have posted incorrect information. Newtown has been out for 5 days. Fixed only today. Fordsburg and other parts of Grid 6 off since yesterday (Monday) and now 30 hours+ with no power.

The outage was reported on Sunday due to multiple faulty cables. The team will continue to locate faults on the remaining load centres for repairs to be conducted. The load centre at which the faulty switch is located has been isolated. The team is currently awaiting the required material onsite, after which repairs will commence. Restoration currently stands at 17%. In addition, the second relay plant has been tested and successfully restored. Customers in parts of Lillian Ngoyi Street, Quinn Street, as well as surrounding areas in Newtown North & Central will continue experiencing an outage until the power supply has been restored fully.
