Muscle memory is one hell of a beast. When anyone asks ‘what advice would you give to a younger / 18yo / whatever’ go to the gym in your late teens and build muscle regardless of your occupation or fitness endeavours. Knowing you can come off insane endurance blocks and build muscle back within weeks is so good.

.@tobi on why the right video game is a great way to learn entrepreneurship: “The good video games are simulations. They are a world upon itself, and you are a high-agency actor, and you modify things. You perform actions, you make decisions, and then you learn about the consequences of your actions. When I was in my teens in the 90s, I played StarCraft and I loved it. It was easy to learn, but hard to master, which is a hallmark of everything that’s worth doing. It taught me there’s no right decision. There’s only context in which decisions turn out to be correct. It taught me resource management is extremely important. Managing resources is not just about quantifiables. It’s also teaches you about managing your attention. I learned a lot about how do you get better? How do you get more out of every game you play? How do I get more skill progress units out of the time that I have? StarCraft might have just been the right teacher for me at that moment, and the student was ready. It was a perfect little sandbox to explore how to think about when it’s time to build infrastructure, when it’s time to invest in resources, when it’s time to prepare, when it’s time to reveal your hand, when it’s not time to reveal your hand. I think it was a perfect place to spend time for me in my teenage years, given what I did afterwards.”
Brian Armstrong@brian_armstrong

In my teens and 20's I would spend way too much time playing Starcraft and Civilization. Harvesting resources, building things, and expanding was super addictive to my brain - to an almost unhealthy degree. Later I realized that entrepreneurship and business is the ultimate game. It scratches the same itch for me (resources, building, expanding), but you're actually contributing to humanity at the end of the day, which can be much more fulfilling. Business is also much more positive sum than video games. In Starcraft, the other player has to lose for you to win. In business, there is competition, but in a growing market there can be multiple winners. And gains compound long term (it's a infinite game) instead of starting over each time. Now days I prefer to watch pros play video games to unwind, instead of playing video games myself. But a quick game can still be fun here and there to unwind. By contrast, the game of business is played over many decades.

Rafael Nadal was diagnosed with Müller-Weiss syndrome at 19 years old. The navicular bone in his left foot was collapsing. There is no cure. The condition is degenerative. It only gets worse. The navicular is the keystone of the human foot. It catches the head of the talus and connects to the first three toes. It absorbs the majority of load when you change direction. In tennis, players change direction hundreds of times per match. On clay, where the surface forces you to slide into every shot, the stress on that bone multiplies. His sport demands exactly the one thing his body could no longer do without pain. He won 22 Grand Slams after the diagnosis. Fourteen of them at Roland Garros, the clay court tournament that punished his foot the hardest. His record there: 112 wins, 4 losses. A 97% win rate across 23 years at the single venue that required the most from the bone that was failing him. For context, the other Grand Slam dominance records: Djokovic at the Australian Open has a 91% win rate. Federer at Wimbledon had 88%. Nadal's 97% at Roland Garros isn't just the best in tennis. There may not be a comparable number in any individual sport at any single venue, ever. He once told reporters he doesn't remember what the feeling of playing without pain is. The condition is most common in women aged 40 to 60. He got it at 19 and kept winning for 19 more years. The Rafa documentary drops May 29. During the French Open. The tournament he won 14 times will be happening without him while 300 million subscribers watch what it actually cost him to own it. He turns 40 on June 3. Netflix timed this so the stadium that was his is full of players trying to fill a void that 97% says might be permanent.

El video que hizo Adidas para anunciar el nuevo uniforme de Japón para el Mundial 2026, con banda sonora de la cantante ADO y una animación demasiado hermosa. Joder esto sí es cine de calidad.

Things more dangerous than $7 coffees: - $40,000 wedding ($5,000/hr party) - $80,000 degree that gets you a $50,000/yr job - $40,000 car loan because you "earned it" - $2,000/mo apartments to flex for friends ...Thats why 80% of people are broke.

Becoming undeniable is the greatest feeling as a young man building your empire. At first they laugh at you. Then they claim your success is due to something else (in my case, farther) Then they want to work for you, Then they actually buy from you, And then finally they become inspired by you. Keep pushing, and prove them wrong.

The reason I avoid working with friends or family is because they knew the version of me before the vision. They remember the laughs , the vacation ,the easy conversations and not the late night work at 2am, not the deadlines I don't bend for, not the pressure I apply when I want results. They see the fun version of me but they are not ready for the boss version of me. And when you bring that energy into business they confuse your leadership for attitude, they take your standards personally. That's why you keep friendship where it belongs and business where it thrives with people who signed up for the pressure and not the nostalgia.
