@dougherty_jesse DO memories always bring a smile to my face. Almost always, I should say. One heart! Very glad to hear "it's not over" for you. Keep going.

@PhilDAbb Phil! Thanks man. Thinking about all this today and one of the coolest things about it is all the funny memories, starting on those car rides way back when. It's not over, but making me reflect

Well, turns out this was my last story for The Washington Post, 2,011 bylines later. For nine years, it was a dream in every sense of the word, no matter how many of the company's leaders tried to make it otherwise. Thanks for being part of the ride.

I recently went to the college Excel championships in Vegas, spending three days with people who really, really, REALLY love competitive spreadsheeting. Come along. Here's how that looked, sounded and felt, for @PostSports: washingtonpost.com/sports/interac…

A disgrace to journalism what is happening at The Washington Post. Someone needs to hire Jesse and all the other phenomenal reporters and writers being laid off ASAP.

I am part of the mass layoffs at the Washington Post. I am sad and angry. We all want to keep doing the work. But for now I want to document a reality of being in journalism today.

Turner Ashby High product Brenan Hanifee will be on the Opening Day roster for the Detroit Tigers. The 26-year-old right-hander got called up last season and pitched 29 1/3 innings, going 1–1 with 23 strikeouts and a 1.84 ERA.

@KayJewelers Extremely disappointed in your customer service. Fiancé's custom ring has needed 5+ loose stone repairs over a year & a half due to a poor design and after many complaints you refuse to declare it faulty so WE would have to pay for a new setting. Done with you guys!

I'm not nearly important enough to do one of those personal news tweets, but here it goes anyway: This is my last week at the Miami Herald (sort of). I start law school at FIU on Monday.
