Growlithe's sprite seemed more "realistic", something about the proportions of its face made it look so strangely off-model.

I realized Hitmonlee's pose was a 1/1 of Sugimori's 'Pokémon Blue' illustration with minor adjustments (like its left hand and eye position, and I decided to just draw it again. I don't know, seems like madness, it doesn't look as good as Sugimori's of course.

@Ot_Pidgeot Yup neither did I and I started with red and migrated and completed it all with yellow. Still remember that last trade for magmar.

@PhilDragash Even though I played pokemon red version in my childhood I didn't see this pokemon 😭

The one and only Boober. I don't care how many 'bad Pokémon lists' this poor guy fell in to, Magmar was the very last Pokémon I had to catch when I was a kid (sans Mew) to fill my Pokédex. Used Yellow, was utterly confused as to why Boober isn't in Red Version, but there we are.

@PhilDragash It ages so well as you grow up watching it, too. Cuz like, I loved it as a kid for the robot shenanigans, but grew to appreciate its take on Cold War propaganda and historical contexts a LOT in recent years. Amazing film!
