The #A56 is CLOSED in both directions between the #M66 (#Edenfield) and the #A682 (#NewHallHey) due to a collision where a lorry has struck the central reservation barrier. If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time

@NWmwaypolice The #M62 remains closed westbound within J19 #Heywood following a serious collision & vehicle fire overnight. Diversion via exit and entry slip roads. There are 8 miles congestion on approach causing 90 min delays above normal travel time.

Traffic is held on the M62 westbound between J20 #Rochdale and J19 #Heywood. This is due a serious collision and subsequent vehicle fire. All emergency services are on scene. National Highways traffic officers are assisting with traffic management.

The #ThinBlueLine just got thinner. Thoughts with Family, Friends & colleagues of @NYorksPolice Pc Rosie Prior who was killed whilst on duty dealing with a road traffic collision. Thoughts with family of Ryan Welford who also was killed. Just devastating. #PoliceFamily🚔 #RIP 💙
