@thebodge1 Not a Pools fan so not for me but class shirt , wouldn't mind seeing that as a Boro away shirt.
English

#OnThisBoroDay - 1991: #Boro boss Colin Todd dramatically puts 11 [ELEVEN] players on the transfer list. They had lost in the play-offs to Notts County. It meant dismantling the Class of 86. A stark demonstration the post-padlocks Rioch revival was over. Make or break for Toddy.

English

@untypicalboro @mattleslie74 Think @robbiemustoe was on the list(maybe) and quoted (maybe) as he didn't think anyone would want him. Imagine losing him at that early stage with all that was to follow.
English

@mattleslie74 Pretty much the whole first team were up for grabs, big names too: Bernie, Ian Baird, Colin Cooper, Alan Kernaghan, Stuart Ripley, Gary Parkinson, John Wark.
English

@DaveWimblePhoto Juninho was brilliant in the first half. And I still can't understand why Beck's other goal was ruled out.
English

#OnThisBoroDay - 1997: Tel Yer Mam! Bubbling #Boro claim a first ever FA Cup final slot as they bounce back from a semi-final scare to crush Sean Dyche's plucky Chesterfield 3-0 in the Hillsborough replay. (Beck 11, Ravanelli 56, Emerson 89). Juninho imperious. Were you there?

English

@boro_memories Dwight Marshall? Must be the only time he looked good in front of goal in a Boro match
English

#OTD in 1992: A sensational strike from Willie Falconer against Plymouth kept us in the hunt for automatic promotion 🔴⚪️
English

@boro_memories Only memory of this one is Bradbury rolling about all the time, remember one when he went down and Andy Townsend blasted the ball at him, he quickly jumped back up , tosser !
English

@tonkatweets @GraemeBandeira Don't think Mick Saxby would be comfortable playing passes across the penalty box , much like today's bunch!
English

@PhilMcCabe69 @GraemeBandeira I think that was my first game. Got beat 1-0 I think. Stood on south terrace. If only I’d realised the pain following Boro would cause. 40 years on our defence resembles that one
English

It's 30 years this year since we left Ayresome Park. I'm in reflective mood! If you could relive one game from Ayresome what game would it be?
Plenty of memories here 👇

English

@untypicalboro No video evidence available? As I recall on the replay totally accidental and not from an elbow. Most probably miles better defender than our current lot but pretty limited in those days. Drove a Mini with a Union Jack roof the Mad dog
English

#OnThisBoroDay - 2006: One from folklore corner. Mad Dog squares off with Elbows in a blood-splattered touchline toe-to-toe as #Boro beat Bolton in a ding-dong 4-3. (JFH 2, Viduka, Parnaby 90). Lively

English

@boro_memories Daughter's first game , unfortunately she thought it was like this every week.
English

@boro_memories Just got back from Tenerife on the morning straight off to the match .
Top moment for me when the 2nd went in , all the disappointments of history wiped away . Up there with the Maccarone moment for me.
English

#OTD in 1997: Boro were into their very first FA Cup semi-final after we defeated Derby for a 2nd time in a week 🔴⚪️
English

@untypicalboro @Dannykraus9 First ITV 2nd division game , BBC had Man City v Chelsea back end of 83-84 season on. Friday night
English

@Dannykraus9 Yes, it was the first season of the new ITV deal with the Football League and quite a surprise when they opted for a D2 match, although it was the two main title challengers.
English

#OnThisBoroDay - 1988: horizontal hero Tony Mowbray in an iconic image as Brucie's #Boro hit from behind to beat title rivals Aston Villa 2-1. The Sunday showdown is Boro's 1st ever live TV game. Also noted for a Super Cooper stint in goal as blood soaked Pearsy gets stitched up

English

@boro_memories Not the first televised but still brilliant. Big Jack in the Boys end TV studio. Best season for me at Ayresome too young for 73-74
English

#OTD in 1988: A famous Boro goal, as Tony Mowbray’s flying header saw us defeat Aston Villa in the first ever live televised 2nd tier match 🔴⚪️
English

#OTD in 2018: Adama Traore was unplayable and Britt Assombalonga launched a penalty into orbit against Reading 🔴⚪️
