@AlboMP I think Trump said it best….Australia’s and NATO’s offer of help is too little too late. Again under Albo we continue our irrelevance on the world stage.

Overnight, I joined a virtual Leaders' Summit on the Strait of Hormuz co-hosted by President Macron and Prime Minister Starmer. Australia has consistently called for an end to this conflict. The longer the war goes on, the more significant the impact on the global economy will be, and the greater the human cost. Australians are feeling the impact on fuel supply and prices and we are working to shield families from the worst of it. Australia stands ready to support efforts to restore stability and security in the Strait of Hormuz and I welcome the announcement overnight of the Strait’s reopening. We want to see this hold.

Singapore is one of Australia’s most important fuel suppliers, helping to keep our economy and people moving. Today, Prime Minister @LawrenceWongST and I agreed to make maximum efforts to deliver energy security for both our nations. Because the war in the Middle East might be a long way from here, but it’s having impacts across our region. And the best way to deal with this is by working together, as partners and neighbours.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called for an end to Israel’s strikes on Lebanon. Albanese: “The Australian government also firmly believes that this [ceasefire] has to apply to Lebanon as well.”

@SimonBanksHB 4 years to resolve but clearly too hard for the ALP. Refineries closed as local oil production and prospecting crippled by green policies, govt red tape and wages. No one is pretending Simon, we are all hurting so let’s fix rather than lay the blame on past ghosts!!

Gotta love the LNPers who left Australia with lower fuel reserves Stored in the US, not Australia Shut down refineries Undermined relations with key Asian neighbours who provide much of our fuel Suddenly pretending they care about fuel security

People are under cost of living pressure, we recognise that and we're doing something about it with more cost of living help like income tax cuts and halving the fuel excise. It's great to see local businesses doing what they can to support their workers and customers during tough times. Thanks to Michael and the team at @Bunnings Preston for meeting with @gedkearney and me this week. Really busy end to the week consulting with CEOs and workers in fuel, supermarkets, technology, logistics, mining, banking and building supplies sectors about the fallout from conflict in the Middle East.

@blowingtom2 The AFP had multiple opportunities to arrest BRS, with his support, prior to the grandstanding with CH9 in front of his daughters on a plane in Sydney. That in itself shows the disrespect that the AFP have for our veterans. Disgusting behaviour!

A quarter of Australia’s fuel comes from refineries in Singapore. That’s why I’m here, working with our international partners to keep fuel flowing for Australians. Because when things are uncertain around the world, strong relationships with our neighbours matter more than ever.

You are turning your back on rebuilding strong sovereign capability based on our own resources. This is the only way for Australia to protect itself from the risks associated with global supply chains. Instead your too wedded to net zero where we simply move our carbon emissions to other parts of the world like China, India, Korea etc

@MurrayWatt Murray your policies that offer hand outs as band aids do nothing to improve the economy or address the structural issues that face the economy. An economy that is in recession if you strip out immigration. Who in their right mind would support this?

Simply offensive. Thinking the only way to sustain economic growth is reliance on immigration at unsustainable levels is both dumb and lazy politics and economic policy. Take a stand for Australia and the huge wealth it has. Drive value from our natural wealth, for Australia. Accept global supply chains do not protect sovereign interests. Build a strong and prosperous sovereign capability!

#BREAKING The Institute of Public Affairs has found net permanent and long-term arrivals totalled 494,540 in the 12 months to January 2026, the “highest in recorded history”.  Anthony Albanese has warned against those who want to "turn back the clock" on migration, urging Australians to "cherish our diversity as a strength". This comes as One Nation emerged as the front-runner in several key demographics, as it edges past Labor for lower-income Australians' votes.

Albo blames misinformation for public reaction to the fuel crisis. He laments the days when information was centralised through the mainstream media. But he fails to acknowledge why people stopped trusting them. He ignores that they were exposed as unreliable arbiters of truth. The fact is credibility is hard to earn and easy to lose. Something he and his government would be wise to be remember.
