@GrahamSmyth On the flip side, Chelsea play Sat 8pm/Tues 8pm, and we play Sat 3pm/Weds 8pm so we have an extra days rest between league games. Glass half full if you prioritise the league games, half empty if you prioritise the FA Cup semi.

When are you supposed to eat your big meal on a 5.30 kick-off day? Can't be lunchtime because that'll happen tomorrow and once a week is enough for that kind of carry on. 4pm is a ridiculous time to eat, 8.30 is a bit late. Broadcasters just don't care, but these things matter.

That change of date for Palace v Leeds has removed the ability of Leeds fans to travel back by train, as I’ve just discovered. @LNER have network maintenance that means it’s all but impossible. Fans constantly being impacted by these late fixture switches now. Not good.

@DPJHodges Is this scandal about his friendship? That was already well documented prior to this week, & Westminster moved on after his sacking. Isn’t it now about his sharing of confidential gov info, so shouldn’t the question be could the gov have spotted that prior to appointment?

More on the alleged "hear no evil, see no evil" attitude towards Mandelson in Keir Starmer's speech Keir Starmer said just now there were questions ahead of the Ambassador appointment about the "nature and extent of the relationship", including "whether he stayed at Epstein's premises". Starmer says the answers given were "intentionally intended to create the impression that Mandelson barely knew him". In a subsequent answer, he says he lied about the relationship. But did Mandelson specifically deny - and lie - about the fact he took a hospitality freebie from Epstein post jailing? There hasn't - quite - been answer to this question. Yet it's pretty key. Did Mandelson specifically deny the New York hospitality question, and KS accept this specific denial despite robust FT reporting? Or did Mandelson evade the specific question about his 2009 freebie, and No10 made an assumption on the basis of a broad brush characterisation by Mandelson of the limited nature of the relationship. How hard did they push on the key, specific allegation?

@BBCBreaking Considering this all stems from them being unaware of changes to state pension ages due to them not engaging with the news, i look forward to them discovering this development in 15 years time!
