This is outrageous. All “good government” friends should be speaking up about this attempt to gut the publics right to know what your government is doing

^ It's true that these types of redactions likely *could* be handled by software. But the legislation offers no $$$ for tech/training to get NJ's many state agencies, 21 counties and 564 towns and 600+ school districts to this level. And it would cost $$$!

Just last month, NJ attempted to deny an OPRA request of mine because they did not have the staff to make redactions required by Daniel's Law in time to fulfill my request. They are doing the redactions manually. This is simply not happening, even at the state level, today.
