@CatholicReplyH @Olu_Utd14 "distant experimenter" does sound a little cold and the idea of an Architect entering his own creation is intriguing! He should do it again sometime and perform some superhero shit e.g. God sends giant meteor, Jesus stops it point blank within view of the most populated city.

@Phil_Lord @Olu_Utd14 If a 'Scientist' set the laws you study, He's the Reason (Logos) itself, not an observer. Scripture shows the Architect loved His work so much He entered it. Why settle for a distant experimenter? More absurd than choosing how God should reveal Himself? Meet the Author! ✝️

What exactly is it about science that drives your curiosity and motivation to want to know more or learn more?

@CatholicReplyH @Olu_Utd14 I’m open to the idea of a creator/first mover, just not the Bible version. More like a curious scientist testing different attributes in different universes and their outcomes.

@Phil_Lord @Olu_Utd14 Curiosity is the start of wisdom, not the end of faith. Evolution explains the "how," but only God explains the "why." As Darwin noted, the Creator gave the laws; science simply reads them. Reason and faith aren't rivals, but two wings that fly us toward the truth! 🕊️

@CatholicReplyH @Olu_Utd14 To gain a better understanding of God's creations, to understand the mind of God. Interesting! Curiosity led to the theory of evolution, which has led to many not believing in a creator (including myself). What a timeline! 😲

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer I’m still curious to your answer for “Why would God confuse a massive portion of the population with such strong evidence? Then sending them to hell for not believing?”.

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer The mechanics of life are to be marvelled at and explored further and I’m thankful we have modern hospitals that increase the probability of a successful birth. I found my wife in the most probable place - in Design class, where we obviously have things in common.

@Phil_Lord @wisdomXplorer You best pray that there's no God. That's all I can say to you at this point. I guess your kids weren't a miracle of life,I guess you finding your soulmate in life was just random chance or luck. Enjoy life bud. Ill pray for you and your family.

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer Wouldn’t it make sense to pray for the whole portion that doesn’t believe, as apposed to one person? He’s all powerful! Our loved ones live on in our memories, life means more to us because we don’t know what happens when we die.

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer Likely weak evidence, there’s also a lot of evidence there is not a God. Why would God confuse a massive portion of the population with such strong evidence? Then sending them to hell for not believing?

@Phil_Lord @wisdomXplorer And there's quite a bit of evidence for a belief in a God. See...it works both ways. There's a lot of Scientist that believe and believed in a God.

@Phil_Lord @wisdomXplorer If not through verbal transmission or books, how else would one learn about the concept of cooperation? We need books and a higher ideal, such as the concept of God, to strive for and ensure the survival and prosperity of humanity.

The fact that we can learn to transform from being a hateful, self-driven prick to a loving, caring human being who can actually coexist with others and then also realizing the complexity and beauty of the existence that we have been given that has at many points of investigation yielded a conclusion that our existence must be a result of an intelligent design rather than a random, incoherent concoction.

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer Amazing for sure, but that doesn’t mean it was a creator. Why is the Universe projected to end with a “big freeze”? You could argue planned obsolescence 🤔 . There could be a multiverse with various attributes between each, some with life & some without. It’s a marvellous mystery

@wisdomXplorer Read up on just how crazy it is that we can actually exist in this Universe. Read up on how just a simple little nudge this way or that way and the Universe wouldn't be here. There's a Creator for sure. It's a Grand Design.

@Burl3782 @wisdomXplorer We don't "believe", we use probability + evidence. How many stars and how many planets in the habitable zone. Many stars have been observed to hold planets in orbit & in zone. Asteroid Ryugu: Hayabusa2 mission found all five nucleobases (the molecular letters of DNA and RNA).

@Flex_smg1 @Lyon970 You’re kidding? The Bible is filled with all sorts of rubbish, so anything of value from that book is diluted/meaningless by association. It’s like sharing artwork made entirely with AI, it puts any past work the artist has made in jeopardy.

My best friend Alfred made me believe in God. We used to be roommates back in school. Alfred was so jovial and funny. We did everything together — clubbing, womanizing, smoking, drinking alcohol, and living life without any care. One fateful day, Alfred woke up from sleep, started crying, and began speaking in tongues. When I asked him what happened, he said he had a revelation that God wanted him to be one of His messengers. Since that day, Alfred completely changed. He started following Christ, going to church regularly, and preaching to us. But whenever he tried to preach, we would just wave him off, laugh at him, and say things like, “One day you’ll backslide and start chasing big yansh again.” Alfred wouldn’t even argue with us,he just kept living his new life quietly.

@Lyon970 Incredible story but from a non religious view I would point out that if God is all powerful he could have saved all those people. Also the dream that lead to the prayer, could have been triggered by a number of different sources: tv, shared stories, seeing an ambulance, driving

The Ghastly AccidentAt the park, we saw a Sienna with only four passengers including me. Alfred and I said our goodbyes, and the bus left the park. Somewhere around Okada in Benin, we had a terrible accident. A big trailer hit our Sienna. It was a ghastly crash. Everybody in the Sienna died — including the driver — except me. I didn’t sustain any injury, not even a single scratch. It felt like magic. The people who came to help us were shocked. They told me to go to church, give my testimony, and never leave God.

@legitimatetiger I'll doubt it every time. In fact, I'm certain life after death doesn't exist. Until someone provides irrefutable proof, it's just another spooky story of woo, just like every other. These storytellers are a dime a dozen And the followers the same Why don't people ask for proof?
