I think y’all overlooking something very important about this encounter. Code is tasked with killing boruto and finding out who’s helping Boruto. He can’t kill Boruto right now so his other option is to find Boruto’s partner. Code more than likely tagged Boruto with a Claw Mark!

This is becoming one of the biggest problems with TBV: Ikemoto constantly creates amazing setups but refuses to fully commit to the consequences. Always half-measures. His Dragon Ball influence is obvious, but he also inherited its worst flaw - the complete lack of stakes.

Inojin’s part was meh. Ike gotta somehow remove himawari’s healing/regeneration abilities or separate her from the rest.

@SimplyTroy2 I think it’s the opposite tbh. Inojin was one of the highlights in the arc, so people were way more invested in anything major happening to him. Him going blind wouldn’t make people care less - it would probably make it more interesting to see him again in new environment or smth

Now on to THIS part of the chapter. I would personally find more enjoyment in seeing somebody like Inojin becoming blind but that’s just my personal preference that I think would lead to more interesting interactions THIS is where the disagreement happens. When the quality of writing is looked at. In boruto or Naruto stakes aren’t just one thing they’re mostly ideological with the heavy stakes coming in different forms. Each shinju arc has taken a life so far. Saying it doesn’t make sense or is bad is completely unfounded. Naruto and boruto teaches you about guts/the heart to put your life on the line which is what Inojin did. Boruto also teaches you that love rewards which is what inojin received once he was tested. Doesn’t ruin a moment at all

Boruto is still my fav ongoing manga,and I’ve been following it for over 10 years. I’m still invested and I still enjoy it but this is something that genuinely frustrates me and makes me less excited abt the future.Hyped af for the Hidari arc and curious what Ike cooks up next

Himawari with her OP healing ability really kills the tension for me. This chapter once again convinced me that bringing Kurama back was a mistake. It’s literally not interesting to read. Why should I worry about a character if Hima is just going to show up and save them anyway?

It was good chapter. The art was great as always,the pacing was solid and the Sarada/Sakura conversation was much needed.I always enjoy seeing Code, even if it’s only for a few pages,can’t wait to see his next steps.
