So I now I backup to Claude MD like a beast and if all else goes to shit pull in some codex help if need be. I’ve never had to pull in codex to finish a job but it’s there just in case.

@felixrieseberg I use Claude code in cursor via the extension and this doesn’t work with it. Any plans to update the cursor extension?

Computer Use is now available in Claude Code, too - where it provides Claude with the ability to use your mouse and keyboard. Just like in Cowork, you allow specific apps only and select whether the model should be able to just look or also click & type. To enable it, enter /mcp and turn on computer-use!

@codyplof Just have Claude code build an extension for whatever you want to do. If it loads in a browser technically you could create a CLI for it.

Has ANYONE found a way to get Claude easy access to FB group comments? I would kill for it

@lkr It should automate add it to Claude MD for you. That’s the file it references on session start, but you could also ask it to remember it and it would create a memory MD file. But the Claude MD is better

I've already asked claude code this but it's solutions aren't working consistently *** How do I get claude code to consistently remember the tools it has at its disposal? *** Like it wrote a GAS helper script, but it won't remember that it exists. Or it will forget that it can post to slack, or telegram.

Hot take: OpenClaw acquisition will go down as one of the worst acquisitions of all time. It’s insanely buggy and Claude Code can do nearly 80% of functionality without constant maintenance.

@felixrieseberg @trq212 I have two devices that I switch back and forth daily. A desktop at the office and my laptop. I usually push and pull gits. Can I choose which device to access. Say for example if I left the office forgetting to push to GitHub. And likewise with my laptop?

Why would you raise money these days? Main reason to raise capital is front loading expenses you can’t pay and accelerate growth. For media companies and DTC brands, with AI, you need to hire ~5% of what you had to before. So raising capital suddenly becomes a bad deal. Just invest some small capital yourself and keep all the profits

I’ve seen a few media companies and dtc brands raising funding right now. I’m not an active angel…but I can’t imagine doing a non-ai company seed investment at the moment. God bless those companies. What’s the market like for non-ai startups?

@thesamparr I disagree, we still need plumbers and services, and the more AI displaces humans the more humans will focus on other things like health and relationships. The play is not a short term me-to AI company, it’s either a service business or a functional dtc health brand.

@gregberryai @AskPerplexity If this is happening, then I don’t think it would be the connecting of the AI itself. Meta has had automated rules and the ability to automated via API for ages. So it would have to be some policy the AI breaking or unethical or suspicious behaviour tha AI is doing.

I have decided to shut down my media buyer toolkit. Active clients will have exclusive access, and I don't plan to turn this into a stand-alone SaaS. This includes rolling reach, reach overlap, and all of the other tools in my toolkit. The reason is pretty simple, and something I should have expected. Second to improving my service as a growth marketer, I planned to use these tools as a lead magnet. It didn't work the way I expected it to, and I actually didn't generate a single lead by offering these tools for free. The majority of the conversations I had were actually not good, and were mostly from brands who had no interest in onboarding new partners. The majority of people using my toolkit were actually other agencies who were just putting screenshots from my reports in their audits. (I never got a single public shoutout from these people either) So instead, I've decided to make this, and everything else I'm working on available for my clients only. @codyplof Have you asked Claude code this question? It’s most likely going to answer it much better and then just go ahead and execute it. I needed to pull hundreds of emails that had a specifically label in Gmail and it wrote itself a dedicated script to do this.

Anyone have a way to get Claude hooked up with multiple Gmail accounts? My personal email is a mess and I need to get Claude on it. Maybe CLI helps this versus Cowork?

@iamshackelford Realizing that one of the reasons a lot of bigger brands around here bounce around agencies so much isn't that the agencies are bad, it's that they like to get free ads and service but ghosting them on invoices and moving to the next agency.

Pay attention to Big Nick rn (me) The agency payment game has completely MOVED in the last few years. Clients find you on social media, you deliver the full scope, and then they ghost on the final 50%. It's become normalized in a way that would've gotten you blacklisted a decade ago. Everyone's doing business with strangers online and there's no real accountability system. Contracts mean nothing without enforcement, and let's be honest, nobody's taking someone to court over $5K. So the town square of Twitter became the enforcement. - 50% upfront minimum - Milestone payments tied to deliverables - Nothing goes out the door until the invoice clears If that kills the deal, the deal was going to burn you anyway. And if someone screws you over after all that, name and shame them publicly. It's the only thing protecting the rest of us.

@iamshackelford Yeah this is much worse in programmatic where because of the contracts with like CTV streaming services you are on the hook for their spend. I had one of the big brand ""darlings" screw me out of an invoice for just the media spend (I waived all fees to try and get them to pay)

@jforjacob Any cro focused builder would use your existing data. So what would be the parameters? How much lift? Are we talking $ or %? And are all variables the same YoY to measure accurately? Would you accept incremental improvements to your existing pdp or you want a whole new concept?

@codyplof I think it’s probably an IKEA effect scenario and the avoidance of acreer suicide. If you painted a beautiful canvas, would you let a machine take over just because people say it can? and also for a dev, adoption of AI would be career suicide.

Anyone else feel like software companies are moving slow? Everyone is talking about how fast things are moving but I don't find most SAAS shipping any faster, especially in the DTC space. Would love to be educated why I am wrong or ignorant.

I love these conversations But what’s missing is the fact that one person can only cram so many cognitive tasks into a week Ask me how I know I am one of the smartest, hardest working guys I know when it comes to e-commerce growth (humble brag) Even I am struggling to make peace with my limits in this new world. At some point you have to close the laptop and walk away You just cannot expect one person to be an expert in all of these categories, for 6 brands (or even 3, if you work at AJF Growth) No matter how much AI you throw at the problem. Something will break (Spoiler: it will be the human)
