After finishing her shift, she shared a quiet meal with her juniors at 2 AM. Exhausted from the long hours, she sought a moment of rest. With no designated room provided for doctors, she settled down to sleep in the seminar room, a makeshift refuge for those who work tirelessly through the night. Little did she know, this would be the last time she closed her eyes with a sense of routine comfort.

Thrilled to lead this project with @PhillipsLabPitt on a collaboration across @RTI_Intl and @PittPsychiatry. We will be recruiting adolescents with pain and conducting neuroimaging and ecological momentary assessments (EMA).

School should be a safe haven for children — a place to learn, explore and dream. It should not be a place where they see their classmates shot and killed. My heart is with the family and schoolgirls who are grieving the loss of their daughter and friend. I request authorities to take action to ensure the safety of all school children.

Bittersweet to dedicate my @neuroethicsita Neuroscience Medal lecture to my father, Stanley Mayberg, who passed away this week at 97. A great father & a trusted advisor, he celebrated every advance of our work & the progress of every patient as if it was his own. I will miss him.

Not here to change anyone's mind. All I ask is that when women from minoritized group win, despite being so encumbered by the system, YOU who champion MERIT would lift THEM up, celebrate THEIR success, and promote THEM. They ran a far harder race and still won! -MERIT. 4/5.
