The media believes the Hornets are better than the team last season and that hasn’t seemed to be the belief among the majority of Hornets fans, but I will say I don’t think they are as bad or much worse as some think Thoughts? Check it out ➡️

T'Wolves President of Basketball Ops Tim Connelly to LaMelo Ball: "It's been these random, wonky injuries, right? It's nothing...you'll play more than 72 games for sure, right? Don't say hopefully."

Melo super fans gotta realise he was traded for a reason. I don’t agree with it but if he was this all world scorer and playmaker he wouldn’t have been traded. There are big holes in his game that i think the roster in Minny will fix and cover better.

@DaddyWarpig Here's a little known secret... Rowling got big because Wal-Mart bought a shit-ton of Sorcerer's Stone paperbacks and put them in bins in the front of the store. The rest is history.

There are no hard-and-fast rules. Rowling was a medium success in Britain, and got big worldwide because of success in America, which was driven by the exotic appeal of British boarding schools. A tired cliche over there, they were fascinating and wondrous here. Perfect for Fantasy.
J.M. Goodwin@jmgwritten

I'll go further: Harry Potter is proof that Vibes-based Worldbuilding is more powerful than Mechanics. When done well it appeals to a broader audience and can stick with them for a lifetime That's why Rowling is bigger than Sanderson, despite having a fraction as many books

A good buddy of mine I've known for YEARS. 34. -Great job, hard worker, good with money -In great shape. Training for an iron man. -Close with family. Grew up Christian, went away in college-- now reignited as his personal faith & locked in! -Has a flip phone. Zero porn, didn't want the temptation. -Goes to church, volunteers, reads the Bible daily. Objectively a great catch. Wants a wife & to be a dad. Went on a date a couple weeks ago. Had a blast. Talked for hours after dinner. The next day they hang out all day, and she takes him to her home meets her family for a cookout. They kiss & both say best date ever. He invites her to his church that week (she says she's Christian with no home church) & she accepts. They make plans that week to go on a run before work. He texts & she ghosts him....... He calls the next day..... ghosts. A couple days later...... "been really busy sorry." He was a little bummed & asked my advice. 1) Why do girls/guys do this? Why not just reply, be upfront? You don't have ONE MINUTE you were that busy...... come on. 2) What would you tell him? 3) I said, bullet dodged, her loss, respect yourself & keep it moving. Feel extremely sorry for her that she blew her chance with a great dude. Don't chase, keep building you. There's 3 billion girls, you need 1 great one that wants to hop on your mission with you, follow Jesus & you. Make sure she'll make a great mom & can communicate well or marriage will be miserable. Go run, lift, read the Bible, & never give her a second thought again unless it's to remind yourself to feel sorry for her as this will be the biggest regret of her life. Make sure it is & keep building!

Timberwolves HC on LaMelo Ball being labeled as “Unserious” “We do see him a little differently,” Finch said. “We see what people see in those critiques. There’s no doubt we’re going to ask him to clean up the shot selection a little bit. There’s no doubt that in the West where we are, every minute of basketball is going to be meaningful, and I think he’s looking forward to that” H/T @ChristopherHine

This is such deranged sociopathy. If you believe love is real then there IS NO GOING BACK. There is only endless suffering for the lover and endless profit from the emotional attention of the loved. It is the greatest cruelty imaginable hence why it is an ugly disgusting harpy that conceives it.
Diane Yap@RealDianeYap

It’s devastating to know that an entire friendship may have been faked for years with an ulterior motive of getting in her pants. If you apologize sincerely and say that things can go back to exactly the way they were before, and truly act as you did before, it might be fine.

I really love dogs. I worked as a vet tech and dog trainer for many years, and I’ve cared for and trained a lot of pit bulls. Some of the sweetest, happiest, most affectionate dogs I ever worked with were pit bulls. I know people who love theirs very much. And yet I would absolutely never bring one into my home, nor would I let my child play at a home with one. Pit bulls are uniquely powerful, fast, unpredictable, and dangerous. No amount of training turns a dog into a machine that will always obey. Dogs have minds of their own. The fact that a particular dog has never bitten anyone before means very little when every dog that bites someone has a first bite. And by the way, any dog that has bitten to the point of drawing blood WILL absolutely bite again. It's not a matter of if, but when. Pit bull defenders often say Chihuahuas or other small dogs are more aggressive or more likely to bite. There may be some truth to other breeds being more reactive, but it’s still a false equivalence. The frequency of aggressive behavior is not the same thing as the capacity to inflict catastrophic injury. A golden retriever may bite you, but a pit bull can kill a small child in seconds. Pit bulls are not ordinary dogs with an unfair reputation. They are extraordinarily strong, quick, determined animals, and when one decides to attack, stopping it can be nearly impossible. Love, responsible ownership, training, and a history of good behavior do not erase what the dog is physically capable of. People who love pit bulls have to stop pretending that theirs is uniquely special or safe. Pit bulls should not continue to be bred or kept as ordinary household pets. Ownership should require special licensing, serious training, secure containment, and mandatory sterilization so the breed can be humanely phased out.
wanye@xwanyex

This is the thing about Pitbulls. I don’t know what you’re imagining when you think of a pit bull attack, but they sever limbs. They turn faces into unrecognizable ground beef. If one locks on your leg, there’s a good chance you’re going to lose the leg. They rip small children to pieces. It’s not a “dog bite.”

Hornets Lead
Hornets Lead@HornetsLead·
Here’s the truth: 1. The organization didn’t believe in LaMelo Ball. They didn’t believe that he could be the face of a championship-caliber franchise. They didn’t believe he embodied enough of “Hornets DNA (selfless, resilient, hard-working, high IQ).” They didn’t believe he was a max player. They didn’t believe in his health. They didn’t believe in his ability to play through physicality or that he could lead this franchise through the playoffs. 2. The plan was always to trade LaMelo Ball. The organization (Peterson, Schnall, Plotkin) had a plan and perfected it. They did not allow one season of exceeding expectations to change that plan. Due to health, coming into the season LaMelo had negative trade value. This season was all about keeping LaMelo healthy and flipping his trade value. The org did everything in its power to monitor minutes, b2b, and even experimented with Ball off of the bench. Winning wasn’t the priority, as we saw early on. It was keeping LaMelo healthy for the eventual flip. 3. Peterson traded for LaMelo’s replacement when everyone else thought it was to bolster depth. Coby White wasn’t just an upgrade over Collin Sexton, but the eventual LaMelo Ball replacement. As soon as LaMelo’s trade value was a net positive, he would be flipped and the next starting point guard for the Charlotte Hornets was already in the building. Peterson was thinking steps ahead. Max player. Never made the playoffs. Smacked in three separate play-ins. Healthy once out of the last four seasons. Trade value at a high. Replacement in the building at half the price. Flexibility moving forward. Not falling for fool’s gold this past season. Jeff Peterson made the move. The Charlotte Hornets are moving on without LaMelo Ball.
