What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. I was TODAY years old when I found out astronauts don’t come back to Earth in the rocket 🚀Like the rocket really just drops them off in space and is like “aight imma head out”??? And when they come back… it’s in a tiny capsule… and they parachute into the ocean or a desert..WAITING to be picked up by a boat or helicopter like Uber 😭 Why did I really think they came back in the same rocket ship and just… landed?
