@5Solas This is actually an interesting question I've been thinking about recently. I believe abortion is murder. Logically, that would make the women who get them (and men in cases where the men are in on the decision) murderers. Should they be prosecuted as murderers?

Charlie lost this debate. You can’t call it a human life from conception and then say there are situations where you can intentionally kill it and it’s not murder. You also can’t be consistent and claim that women who get abortions aren’t murderers and shouldn’t be prosecuted. Dean exposed the inconsistency in those positions.

@PhoenixSmudge For one, the fact that it only started 1500 after Christ's resurrection. There is also the aspect of the interpretation of the Bible - there is, logically, only one correct interpretation so in case of Protestantism it's nothing more than guessing.

Protestantism makes no sense. If I were raised Protestant, I would probably either have converted or become an atheist.

@LDS_Dems I've seen homeschooled students who are highly educated far more than their public school peers. I've seen the complete opposite - homeschooled students who are basically illiterate. Some parents are highly capable, most are not.

If I seem like I am anti-homeschooling it because I am. I have close friends who homeschooled their older kids....and they can barely read. Their younger kids begged to go to public school and they are thriving. I have seen this at least 6 times in my small world.

Sacred Scripture shows that salvation can be preventive as well as restorative. God can preserve a person from falling into sin, not merely forgive that person afterward. "Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen" (Jude 24–25). I did not claim that Jude names Mary specifically. It shows that God is able to preserve someone from falling. Catholic teaching is that God granted this preserving grace uniquely to Mary, entirely through the merits of Christ. Thanks for playing.
