Why is no one talking about the maximum payload of the Jetour T2? The total allowable payload is 375 kg for driver + passengers + cargo. All T2 variants: - 1.5T: Maintenance weight 1700 kg / Total mass 2075 kg → 375 kg payload - 2.0T Comfort: 1840 kg / 2215 kg → 375 kg - 2.0T Lux: 1880 kg / 2255 kg → 375 kg So you think you're buying a R550k SUV, but if you transport 4x people @ 80kg + 56kg luggage = 376kg and the chassis or suspension fails, or you get in an accident, the warranty is void and insurance won't pay out because you exceeded the payload limits.

SOWETO HIJACKING SUSPECT
The JMPD Tactical Response Unit has successfully arrested a 20-year-old suspect in Zola 3, Soweto, linked to the viral hijacking of an Uber driver.
Acting on intelligence following the circulation of the footage, officers tracked and apprehended the suspect at a residence in Zola on Sunday, 17 May 2026.
MMC Moshe Koma commends the swift and coordinated response by officers, reaffirming that violent crime against e-hailing partners will be met with decisive action.
Public Safety remains firm: criminals will face the full might of the law.

This story of a Zimbabwean woman who was killed in an accident with her one year old child raises a few eyebrows. Apparently the husband was also killed by another accident on the same N1 highway earlier the same day. My overworked mind suspects that the family was looking for a huge RAF payment. Remember recently the Concourt ruled that foreign nationals are entitled to RAF payouts if involved in accidents within SA borders.

BREAKING: @eNCA understands that Brown Mogotsi has been arrested. A SAPS multidisciplinary team has this evening executed a J50 warrant of arrest and arrested a suspect for defeating the ends of justice. The case emanates from the alleged staging of an attempted assassination on the suspect’s life in Vosloorus. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the firearm used in the commission of the crime has also been linked to other serious and violent crimes, including cases of murder and attempted murder. The suspect is expected to appear before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 May 2026. @Abramjee @pule_jones
