SGA will win MVP again, which is completely uninspiring. His flopping sucks, he's not a great passer, rebounder or defender, yet none of these weaknesses really matter because his team has so much depth. He's never shown he can carry a team that isn't loaded, and he had chances to do so for several years! Great player in a great situation, but at this point, his resumé is more impressive than the actual player.

He also isn’t good in off the ball defense or getting in the passing lanes so how could he be a good defender

Stats definitely aren’t perfect but they’re the best we have for “objective” discussion, and every OKC fan I’ve ever talked to is completely disingenuous about the eye test.

Every defensive metric says he has a significant positive contribution on defense, averages 2.3 stocks per game, and his only real defensive weakness is getting off the ground for blocks. The same can’t be said for Shai.
