Oh yeah, I had a book launch event a few days ago. "The Shades of Black Folk" is available everywhere now. It trace the history of colorism in black America from the late 1700s to today.

@PratitiLikhchi I wish! I considered recording the talk, then I left all of my equipment at home. But if I give it again I'll record it. I'm working on a book with some of this stuff.

1. Noted. 2. Are you serious? 😂 I think even Ireland is coming to the conclusion that it needs to protect itself right now, as most other countries are and we’re no different. And you have to think about groups that champion targeting American manufacturers while being totally fucking fine with a nuclear Iran.

@ashkenaz89 I'm very seriously indifferent about the safety of western weapons manufacturers. I don't feel safer with the United States spending almost a trillion dollars on "defense." I'm also indifferent about the "what about" when there's only one country to ever use a nuclear weapon.

@ashkenaz89 You've never called me doctor. I hate it. I don't think that answers the question, and I don't understand the inherent problem with targeting weapons manufacturers and how that could "destabilize" or "erode" "western institutions." Why would we protect weapons manufacturers?

You have a PhD, so I assumed this would be a familiar framing. The strategy here is destabilization and the erosion of Western institutions. Targeting weapons manufacturers, seriously injuring people in the process, and then reframing the consequences as “political imprisonment” is a well-documented extremist tactic—not humanitarian activism.

@ashkenaz89 Why you calling me doctor? I don't think I understand how this "redirect[s] blame towards Jews rather than confront the underlying strategy"?

Hello Dr. Reece. Glad to see you here! Some context Members of Pal Action UK (now a proscribed terrorist organization) targeted a weapons manufacturer and carried out an “action” that resulted in a policewoman’s back being broken. Those responsible were arrested. They are now engaging in a self-imposed hunger strike and attempting to reframe themselves as “political prisoners”—a tactic long used by extremist groups that present themselves as humanitarian actors. Independent of anyone’s views on Gaza or Israel, these actors are not humanitarians. Their objectives extend well beyond Israel and align with broader efforts to agitate and destabilize Western societies. Their tactics closely resemble those used by insurrectionary protest movements, including segments of predominantly white accelerationist groups that exploited the George Floyd protests to pursue unrelated destabilization agendas. Anyone who accepts this framing at face value demonstrates either a limited understanding of extremist tactics and history, or a willingness to grant carte blanche to narratives that ultimately redirect blame toward Jews rather than confront the underlying strategy at play.

If you're in Europe, you're in luck! My book "The Shades of Black Folk" is available as of last Friday. Americans have to wait until February, but you can still pre-order it here: politybooks.com/bookdetail?boo…

I been writing. I been writing. Last night I finished the first full draft of my second book. Looking back, I can't believe I wrote two books in 18 months. This one will be coming your way late 2026.
