@Pat_McCat thats fair!! I will have the dark mode as an option, and offer both e-ink or RLCD, so hopefully everyone will be happy :)

@Pi0CKET Me. However, I do like an old fashioned reflective LCD screen. Will you offer it as an option over the eink screen?

@NeoSmart It is mostly just doing fast updates, with some partial. It could probably get a little faster with some tweaking, but it is still really quick for e-ink

@Pi0CKET Are you doing selective/partial screen refresh with the eInk display? That would change timings considerably.

@Pi0CKET I’d only ever go for e-ink. Is it in production, or are you still at a prototyping stage?

@KovalValikUa that is an interesting idea! It would need both screens on the device, but there isnt the space here.

@Metaforest its just a good screen!! it has partial update and fast update options, but they can leave ghosting behind, so it is a balance of how you use it

@Pi0CKET how does that e-ink allow you to update it so often?!

there might be a slight supply issue with the high resolution e-ink screen I am using for CL-32!! what should I do??

@Metaforest @kicad_pcb @MakerfabsTech I have spent many hours trying to get this keyboard feeling as good as possible. it is a bit of a compromise being as small as it is, but i didnt want the nasty clicky buttons that take thumbs of thor to press, but I still want a bit of tactile feedback in there too
