And the back garden. Used to be lawn, roses, an apple tree, a vegetable patch. A nightmare to maintain. David's done away with the lot. Plastic grass throughout. Even put in a fake palm tree, very Mediterranean. No mowing, no weeding, no bees. He can charge more now. 🇬🇧

You should see what our David has done with his latest buy to let. A tired old 1930s detached. He's modernised the lot. New plastic windows, properly insulated. The original front garden was a maintenance nightmare so he's tarmacked it over. Parking for four cars now. He's painted the brickwork a smart grey. Tenants love it. The neighbours aren't happy but they should see it on a sunny day. A sight for sore eyes. Some people just have vision. 🇬🇧

@SuzieWo20886208 Most branded goods these days (particularly Heinz) are a rip off. Heinz have taken beans out and put more cheap sauce in. Tesco own brand are better than Heinz.

People diss M&S as a middle class snob shop.
M&S have a range of everyday basic products that are cheap and high quality. Their small wholemeal bread is 65p. It's outstanding. Butter is good value and so are their baked beans. About 1/3 of the price of Heinz.

My reward for keeping the same car from new for 20 years and not having to get a new car built every 3 years, with all the environmental impact that causes, is Road Tax of £170.
My car is economical and has never not got me home.
One day it will fail and I will not complain as 20 years problem free driving has been fantastic.
