YOU rallied. you organized. And I saw it all. Thanks to you, the Snack Wrap will be back. I cheered you on from behind the screen and made it my mission to never stop fighting for you. I made 486 decks on “reasons why to bring back the Snack Wrap” (I counted). Your endless comments, tweets, and posts were the fuel i needed to keep on going. You created a movement. A movement so powerful that you finally won. I know it's cheesy, but I love my job. It's a privilege to interact with you every day and a responsibility I cherish. Met a guy last week. I told him I’m a @McDonalds franchisee. He goes, “I guess neither of us eats McDonald’s,” (he was pretty fit). I said, “I eat it all the time.” My go-to? A Double QP — no cheese, no ketchup (cut the sugar), one bun (low carb). Good macros. 48g protein, 520 cals — that’s 1g protein per 11 cals. (Grilled chicken is ~1:6.) I love my 5-cal McTopo Chico (carbonated water + lemon). Wish we could roll that out yesterday. McD — or any fast food — can fit into almost any lifestyle. It’s all about choices. 💪🍔🥤

Here’s my perspective on AOT: @McDonalds started their journey in 2019, bought a tech company (Apprente) and developed an AOT product which was sold to IBM last year. IMO - it is way too early. People are rushing towards this technology, but the accuracy and the speed just isn’t where it needs to be. It can’t be just good - it has to be great. I would much rather be the follower than the leader in this category as I do believe the first ones who move will have outdated technology by the time it gets to where it needs to be. Not are you only paying north of $40,000 (or more, I forget) for the technology hardware but you are also paying about $25,000 a year in a subscription cost. There is a reason why $mcd shut down their AOT program. In fact, it was not uncommon to turn off the automatic order taker during your peak hour because the drive-thru was slower when using this technology. Yes, AOT is the future but I’m not touching Gen 1. I would much rather have the technology develop naturally than spending millions trying to create the AOT product. Something I thought was interesting was the fact that our competitors ( $WEN & $QSR) posted positive comp sales in Q4 while $mcd was negative. Maybe @jonathanmaze or @davidhenkes could tell us the last time both of our top competitors posted better comps than us - my guess - maybe 15 to 20 years 🤷‍♂️ However, they refused to give credit to why this may have happened 🤔 @McDonalds took ALL the blame for the bad onion supply despite a recall for all restaurants & grocery stores in that area. The first 3 weeks of Oct for me were 🔥 in sales. Unfortunately, many McD franchisees had a 2,000 bps swing in sales after that. That’s massive. Where do you think those customers went? Just sayin….

For those of you on @UberEats, any of you get this messages that essentially shuts you down for the night unless you manually press “resume”? 5 out of 7 nights each week I get this same exact message in between 9 pm to 10 pm. I haven’t missed any orders. It never happens outside this time period. This is a high volume delivery store so my people are very well versed (highest volume UE restaurant in the city). I wonder if I get shut down due to shortage of drivers (not missed orders on my side) - just unsure. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
