It’s because we have a political system that is currently unable to produce a balance or compromise or fact-based policy and is instead prone to empowering extremes or special interests, regardless of what most Americans want. So you try to cure the system.

For the record I’m for women’s reproductive rights and common sense gun safety regulations as are the majority of Americans. You can want these things regardless of party affiliation. My question is why are we not getting these things?
