The story has its roots more than 20 years ago at the European Space Agency. many L1s and L2s are going to disappear quietly in the next few years, but @LineaBuild will not be one of them. if you are from eth, base, op, arb, or anywhere else, this is your chance to understand why. if you look at the $LINEA chart, it has been in a clear downtrend, but the reasons are simple. 1. BTC and ETH corrected hard, and L2 tokens always bleed more when ETH dumps. alts are having a really bad time after wintermute got nuked and L2 tokens were already in downtrend. 2. the token has no real use case yet. that is true. but the only way to earn $LINEA from day one has always been onchain activity on Linea. if you want to be seen as a power user and position yourself for future linea or partner airdrops, holding some $LINEA makes sense. not financial advice. but the bigger picture matters more. Linea has something almost no other chain(except Ethereum) has. @Consensys. the creators of metamask. the ethereum infrastructure giant with global reach. the team that understands institutions, compliance, and global scale. Linea is the default network for @MetaMask card right now. that alone tells you where this is heading. and Consensys holds two extremely powerful levers. 1. they can launch their upcoming tokens(Mask and Infura) only on Linea network. that would inject liquidity, volume, and legitimacy into native dexs instantly. no begging exchanges for listings. no paying millions so they can dump on retail. 2. they can direct the next wave of institutional adoption straight to linea. banks, asset managers, settlement networks, and fintechs all want an onchain environment that is safe, compliant, scalable, and easy to integrate. Linea fits this perfectly. and there is another quiet but powerful narrative. ethereum DATs like bitmine and sharplink are holding billions in ETH. they want the best risk adjusted ETH yields. the best place to deploy that capital is Linea. because Linea IS ethereum but cheaper, faster, and native yield enabled. why would institutions and DATs pay ethereum mainnet costs when Linea gives them identical guarantees at a fraction of the cost with much better yields? and if institutions want even more control, Linea Stack lets them build their own custom L2s using the same tech. this creates a flywheel: more rollups more activity more liquidity more value circulating back into the ETH ecosystem i think Linea Stack will get a lot of attention in 2026 especially when Linea network is much more more faster, cheaper and secure. and the biggest thing is this. Linea is not competing with ethereum. it is extending ethereum. it is part of the same future. it is early. it is quiet. it is developing in a bear market(yes it's a bear market for L2s because most of the liquidity is mercenary, not real) while attention is elsewhere. but the tech, the backing, the infra, and the vision are aligned for the long run. if i can see the full map, the linea team definitely sees it too, and they will execute it better than anyone on the outside can imagine. most chains will not survive the next cycle because they were never designed for longevity. they were cash grabs, copypaste tech, or narrative fumes. Linea is different. it has a talented team that genuinely loves ethereum, understands defi, and has Consensys behind it. is Linea token undervalued? idk, maybe because of what's about to come or maybe not because TVL is leaving and activity is drying up but that does not matter now. i am extremely optimistic for the long term, not the next few weeks. two to three years out, Linea ecosystem will look very different. believe in somETHing(or you will not have to if @DeclanFox14 actually shaves his head).
