All free societies limit speech to varying degrees. That’s why we have defamation laws, slander, laws against threats, stalking, incitement, false statements to police & 911 operators, etc. When you promote & amplify fake videos & stories to 150 million people, that’s not cool.

I feel exactly the same. The only way Trump gets back in this is if the Harris/Walz campaign and the people supporting it take their foot off the gas. Complacency is Trump’s only hope. But that’s not going to happen. The Democrats remember 2016, and it still gives them nightmares. And they, along with the rest of a rapidly growing coalition—the “coalition of the decent,” as @esglaude has nicely put it—just survived what felt like a political near-death experience. That accounts for the outpouring of joy and exuberance we see in support of the Vice President—as well as the coalition’s unparalleled determination to rid the nation of the sorry and embarrassing spectacle of Trumpism once and for all.

To be honest, I find it kind of shocking that someone who did this with our national security secrets even had to be hacked at all.
