#WorldChildrensDay: Over 1,500 casualties have been caused by explosives since the fall of the Assad regime in #Syria last December – 36% are children. HALO is clearing these deadly threats to allow families to return home, rebuild their lives, and send their children to school safely, and we’re calling for the international community to continue supporting Syria's recovery. Omar Mohammed Al-Amin, headteacher of Khalid bin Al-Waleed School, describes the transformative effect of our work – which we urgently need to scale up across the country to save more lives: “We truly appreciate the work of the Halo Trust for removing explosives that had been scattered randomly everywhere.
