Big day at #CleanCookingWeek2025! We hosted the First Lady, Mama Rachael Ruto, and the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, at our #eCooking booth, where we showcased various ⚡energy-efficient electric cooking appliances. These included institutional appliances such as the 🍚 rice cooker, which prepares up to 5 kg of rice in just 15 minutes, and the pressure cooker, which can cook up to 🥩 20 kg of beef in 40 minutes, arrowroots (nduma) in 20 minutes, or tripe (matumbo) in one and a half hours. #PikanaPower #CleanCookingWeek ^ZM

3/4 Kenya National eCooking Strategy (KNeCS) reports that 75% of Kenyans have access to electricity, but less than 1% primarily cook with it, highlighting the potential for transitioning households to cleaner, more efficient #eCooking solutions.

1/4 Today, the eCooking Community of Practice (CoP), co-led by Kenya Power, @GamosEastAfrica, ACTS, and CCAK, with support from the @UKMECS programme, hosted a Strategic Workshop on eCooking Market Development, Priorities, Partnerships, and Influence in Nairobi.
