BREAKING: Pat Robertson, a religious broadcaster, political commentator, former presidential candidate, and the host of the '700 Club' has passed away at 93-years old. I fiercely disagreed with many things this man said and stood for, but to see people on Twitter posting things like "Rest in Hell Pat" or attacking him on the day of his passing, disgusts me. Be better than that. Criticize him when he's alive to push back, but don't attack him on the day that he dies. It's also important to realize that older generations and those who follow religion often think differently than many of us. It's fine to argue that they are misguided or misinformed, but to pretend that they are evil, is disingenuous. We can all do better than we are. If I offended you with this post, look in the mirror.

@krassenstein It seems we've forgotten how to disagree without drawing lines in the sand. Good ideas don't come from yes-men and glad-handing, they come from debate, critical thought, and input from multiple sources.

If you are unfollowing me because you are angry that I'm trying to create a dialogue with those I disagree with politically, I don't care. If you are mad because I'm listening to what Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters have to say and giving them my ear, I don't care. If you think that someone pays me to make my tweets, I don't care. If you believe the conspiracy theories about me, I don't care. My main goal here is not to make money, get followers or piss anyone off. It's to merely express my views in an open environment and create a dialogue with people from all corners of the political spectrum. I've learned from years past that outrage and political bashing may get you followers, but they won't solve the problems we all face. We can all be better than that.

@krassenstein Not surprising, given the poor examples of humanity we are shown through mass media. We see the picture they want to paint. In itself, a religion strives to be beneficial to its followers through higher moral standards. We don't need a religion to be "good", per se, but it helps

Let's Talk Religion in America: For the first time ever in modern American history, those who have "no doubt" about the existence of God has dropped to just under 50%. This number was at 60% just 15 years ago and 65% in 1995. Only 9% of the Silent Generation (born 1928 – 1945) identify as having "no religion" but 34 percent of Generation Z identify as such. Personally I don't believe that religion is a net positive, but I also don't see it as a negative. I am kind of surprised that early half of Americans have "no doubt" that God exists, when there is no evidence of such. So here are my questions: 1) Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing? 2) Are you surprised by the numbers?
