My brother in Christ, those are both defensemen, the point of my post was that Mike Richards is a forward who won two cups for SoCal team. I promise you no casual Flyers fan has heard of Drew Helleson.

The thing about a lot of F!yers fans is they don’t follow the NHL as a whole which is fine. The issue is they act like they do. I went to Ph!lly and had conversations with Gr!tty and W!ll Smith (actor) and they don’t know puck. One said Drew Helleson was the best defensemen The Ducks had since Scott Niedermayer.

@MozzarellaQueso Hey, I actually want to say, I hope that person got kicked out. Flyers fans are passionate and like to boo but getting drunk and disorderly and abusing a team employee absolutely crosses the line and I hope that person was kicked out at the very least.

@Pimpinellia I’m surprised a flyers fan could even talk at a hockey game, every interaction I’ve had/seen with a flyers fan at a ducks game involves drunkenness and trying to start fights. Literally saw a flyers fan last year push a ducks cheerleader for starting a let’s go ducks chant.

@savnhl Great question. I would say people who care enough about hockey to post on hockeytwt regularly are exposed to other teams but some fans just go to their team’s home games. I didn’t ask this guys life story or how many teams he watched on a regular basis before he told me this.

@TommyATL96 @DucksDaily93 I’ve been to a fair amount of NHL stadiums and usually if a team is booed it’s the away team or the home fans booing their own team for embarrassing them. I’m willing to believe there are confidently incorrect people in every stadium I just didn’t have them talking to me.

@TwonkBlonkie Yawn. Sorry for only bringing up one crazy interaction I had at the Honda Center, I thought the sheer number of Ducks fans acting like the Flyers forced Leo Carlsson to sign an offer sheet was enough evidence that most of them don’t know puck. Next time I’ll post the whole list.

@cactusmacks My guy, I too am shocked it is not a made up story. If I was going to make up a story however it would make more sense to pull a more relevant name than Mike Richards. I also wouldn’t describe Drysdale as the best Flyers DMan when we have 2 guys who played games in the Olympics.

@ApostatePuckhed I mean there are 100% Flyers fans out there who don’t know puck but most Ducks fans I’ve spoken to act like experts when they aren’t. It’s totally fine to be casual but the confidence with which they are incorrect about things they bring up in conversation is staggering.
