Them women are fools. If you put 100 thirsty people in a room with 100 glasses of water, but only 15 of those glasses have lemon in them, and 85 people decide they ONLY want lemon water, what happens? Everybody crowds around the same 15 glasses while the other 85 sit untouched. Those same 15 glasses get passed around constantly. Everybody drinks from them, tastes the same backwash, the same bitterness, the same watered-down experience, while plenty of clean water is still sitting there ignored. And the crazy part is the other 85 glasses aren’t even “worse.” Some have more electrolytes, better minerals, higher pH, cleaner water, or things that would actually benefit different people more depending on what they need. But because everybody is fixated on the same small category, they ignore the abundance around them and fight over the same limited options until they end up dehydrated anyway. That’s modern dating. Tall women want taller men. Short women want taller men. Average women want taller men. So a huge percentage of women end up chasing the same small percentage of men: tallest, most desired, most validated. Then they say “men ain’t shit” after dealing with men who know they’re part of that small sliver and therefore have endless options. Those men know they don’t have to commit, don’t have to behave, and can treat relationships casually because there will always be another woman competing for their attention. Meanwhile, plenty of solid men get ignored entirely, not because they’re bad men, but because they aren’t part of the 15 glasses everyone decided they wanted. The issue isn’t that good men don’t exist. It’s that everybody keeps reaching for the same glass.

@johnkonrad Someone can end it and still grieve the dream of it. My wife also ended mine. But I believe my story is more similar here. Poor communication, loss of intimacy, unaligned goals can hit all at once. Pre-marriage counseling is a must in my view.

A friend of mine went through this. The dude is an awesome dad. Early 40’s. Tall, handsome guy. Made good money. Graduated a top college. He restored an old house himself. Always was talking up his wife. Kids lacrosse coach. Kept in shape just incase he needed to defend his family. No major vices. She wants out. He insists on counseling. Counselor says he’s right. She flips out says he picked a biased counselor. So she asks all her girlfriends for a wife friendly female counselor who will “understand me”. They go. The counselor apparently lost her mind. Starts yelling at the wife. “Listen to him. I’m happily married and I’m jealous of you. All he keeps saying is how much he loves you. How he prays every night for your happiness. And he is HOT!” The whole thing boiled down to he refused to go to woke wine tastings, art shows, wedding receptions for people they barely know and baby showers with her. Girl stuff. And he claims he didn’t even refuse, he just said they had to take separate cars so he could jet after 30 minutes. That was his only request in life. Bonkers. Bonkers!

@jerr_rrej Separation of powers is the cornerstone of the United States' version of republican government. The idea that the Founding Fathers or any of the people who fought in the Revolution would sympathize with this because of mindless flag waving bullshit is an absurd joke.

@jerr_rrej The second line of the First Amendment is the Free Exercise clause and specifically protects citizens from persecution on the basis of their beliefs. Presumably, those who disbelieve are Christians or have existing faiths. Homelander also tells Calhoun to "disband Congress."
