@CharZiyanah Option 2. The 1x top tier will be a proper 6 1x cheap will be a hybrid 6/8 And the cheap prospect will be a deeplying playmaker. Or interchange the last 2. But no compromise on the first option

Would you rather? A. Buy 2 top midfielders for £150m combined (eg; Anderson/Tonali/Tchouameni/Mateus Fernandes). Then buy Lewis Skelly for LB who can also cover midfield. OR B. Buy 3 midfielders for £150m, 1x top tier, 1x cheap Ederson type, and 1x a cheap prospect/Championship player like Shea Charles? *midfield only*

@Czooba @_TobiTheCreator @alex_crook You can't talk of selling Dorgu while Shaw (who has played less than half the games at the club) De ligt, Martinez, Ugarte, and Zirkzee at the club. Selling is okay, but you start with flops and players who can't stay fit!

Lewis Hall is open to leaving Newcastle this summer. Jason Wilcox is a big admirer of Hall and Man United are among the clubs actively seeking a new left-back [@alex_crook] Thoughts on Dorgu plus cash swap deal?

@Czooba @alex_crook No Dorgu swap. Utd should have enough budget to sign Hall. Dorgu has some role to play at Utd, even as a dependable squad player. Yes we need quality, bt numbers also.

@NoushardMUFC Kvara moved for over 70m, has done well for PSG, yet you expect him to move for less? That's a player PSG would be asking for north of 120m

Any rational United fan knows the club is not spending £400m this summer. INEOS will likely keep it around £300m or less. Especially if 6–7 signings are expected. My rough expectations: • Sandro Tonali — £80m • Matheus Fernandes — £45m • Lewis-Skelly — £30m • Kvaratskhelia — £65m • Carlos Baleba — £65m • Marcos Senesi — Free • Dusan Vlahovic — Free The names may change. But the structure probably won’t. I still believe United target three midfielders. Not just one blockbuster signing. One of those additions could easily be a cheaper or free-market option like Leon Goretzka. What I don’t see happening is INEOS spending £150m–£200m on only two midfielders. Especially when players like Elliot Anderson could cost £100m+ alone in this market. The squad needs depth. It needs balance. And it needs numbers. This summer feels more like smart distribution than two glamorous signings.

@UTDQueku_ We all agree Utd need 3 midfielders, they should be 3 different profiles: 1. A deep-lying playmaker 2. A destroyer 3. A dynamic 6/8 That solves most of our midfield issues. Any of them can partner or rotate with Mainoo, and Utd become far more adaptable depending on the opposition

The number 6 position at Manchester United is extremely important and must be addressed properly. If we get it wrong and it doesn’t work out, the whole season could collapse. I know a lot of people are high on Anderson, but I’m not convinced he can maintain that level in a top side. It’s one thing to shine in a team battling relegation, and another to control a midfield against title contenders and Champions League opposition week in, week out. I also don’t see him and Kobbie Mainoo being the right midfield partnership. United need to sign one of the best defensive midfielders in the world to be the main number 6, then bring in another option for depth and rotation. It would be a huge mistake to make Anderson the first choice number 6 straight.

My expected Man United departures: ➝ Casemiro — €0 ✅ ➝ Altay Bayindir — €5m ⏳ ➝ Marcus Rashford — €30m ⏳ ➝ Andre Onana — €30m ⏳ ➝ Rasmus Højlund — €44m ✅ ➝ Manuel Ugarte — €35m ⏳ ➝ Joshua Zirkzee — €35m ⏳ ➝ Jadon Sancho — €0✅ And honestly, those are not even the only players I would consider moving on. ➝ Mason Mount ➝ Matthijs de Ligt ➝ Lisandro Martínez It genuinely hurts typing those names because they are some of my favourite players in this squad. But availability is a skill too. At some point, football decisions have to be based on reliability, not emotion. If good offers arrive for any of them, the club should seriously consider it. No sentiment. Just logical squad building.

Matheus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson are both brilliant players. But I don’t think either truly complements Kobbie Mainoo. If anything, they compete with him. Why? Because both naturally thrive as advanced 8s and can push into the 10 role — which is also where Kobbie’s biggest strengths are. For me, the profiles that actually complement Mainoo are players like: • Sandro Tonali • Angelo Stiller • Carlos Baleba Midfielders who can balance the structure, control transitions and let Kobbie play to his strengths higher up the pitch.

Pace, physicality, ball-carrying, defensive aggression, and final-third quality; El Hadji Malick Diouf has the modern left-back toolkit United badly need. 🇸🇳 El Hadji Malick Diouf is rarely injured, very press resistant, good at 1v1 defending and high attacking output, defensively solid and has sweet crosses as a leftback. He is also young, aggressive, and built for transition football, Diouf to United just makes sense.

Ismaelo Ganiuo (21) at Lens is one I’d like the club to look at. Plays in a 3 so hard to tell how he’d fare defensively in a 2 but can also provide competition/cover at right-back. Really like his intentions on the ball, always forward thinking and with great technical execution. Key to Lens’ right side progression in what has been a hugely successful season for them.

@Diego_Leon_hq I trust him, but feel we would do with a more mature keeper. Also, for his career he needs to play more regularly. Utd shd consider selling him with a buy-back clause. Or long-term loan, like 2 yrs. Not sure how the free market is gor for GKs this summer

🚨 Senne Lammens deserves huge credit for stepping up as Manchester United’s new No.1 goalkeeper ❤️👏 But with the number of games United will play next season, he also deserves a reliable backup keeper behind him. Would you trust Radek Vítek as Senne Lammens’ backup next season? 👀 #MUFC

Manchester United fans keep talking about the need for midfield depth this summer because: - Casemiro is leaving, - Manuel Ugarte might leave too, - and Kobbie Mainoo could end up being the only midfielder available. Fair enough. But here’s the real question… If United sign 2 or 3 midfielders this summer, will Mainoo fans genuinely accept healthy competition? And if Mainoo gets benched because another midfielder performs better… will they accept it? Or will we start seeing “Free Mainoo” trending again?

@RisingGemsz The first question is, do utd need to replace Cuhna or cover for him? I think utd just needs cover, atleast for the next few seasons - not replacement. As such, Dorgu can potentially do that- or at least, we need to play him the remaining few games and make an assessment.

The Dorgu situation is causing a lot of divided opinions, but here is how I see it: Dorgu is not naturally a LW, but he can play there at a good level. Whether he should be our long-term solution there, I’m not sure; I still think we should sign a quality LW this summer. However, people need to stop acting like Dorgu is suddenly average. We should appreciate his versatility; he is a great squad player to have since he can cover multiple positions. I need to see him at left-back in the last two games let Shaw rest for the World Cup.

Diouf is a weird profile. I like him a lot tbh His athleticism and crossing would be a real benefit for any team. However he’s not very technically secure, whenever he has the ball under pressure it’s like he has no idea what to do. LB’s like Shaw, Hall, Balde etc can all play out of the press with ease.
