This update forced me to revisit my strategy to maximise points on Mode. I’m no longer borrowing USDC/USDT on Ionic to deposit on Kim Exchange. Since I found a smarter way to earn extra Mode points. Here’s what I’m doing instead: _______________________________________ I’m still using the same strategy for the first 3 steps: ❍ Bridge to Mode with @retro_bridge ❍ Mint ezETH from ETH with @renzoai ❍ Deposit ezETH in @ionicmoney Sign up for the Mode airdrop campaign if you haven't done so with my referral link: ref.mode.network/D3QFWg But here’s what I’m doing differently: Mode awards a 1.2x points boost for holding weETH on the network. weETH is still available to be borrowed on @ionicmoney. So we can borrow weETH using ezETH as collateral. This has minimal liquidation risk as both assets should follow the same price movements as ETH. The borrowing pool capacity is at 81.3% (at the time of writing) so I suggest borrowing weETH ASAP. We're not just going to hold weETH since it incurs a 22% borrow APR. I plan to add liquidity into the weETH-WETH pool on Kim Exchange. But I suggest checking this first before you add liquidity there: _______________________________________ Adding liquidity to Kim Exchange I chose the weETH-WETH pool as I experience minimal impermanent loss since both are tracking the same underlying asset (ETH). Unless weETH experiences a massive depeg from ETH. The yield is very attractive too: I'm currently generating a 116.18% APR yield (at the time of writing). So this more than covers the borrow APR I'm incurring for weETH. But adding liquidity is not in a 1:1 ratio. I’d suggest checking the ratio here first before borrowing weETH: app.kim.exchange/liquidity?toke… The ratio of weETH to WETH is ~ 1:0.62 at the 'Common' preset. But this may be different for you depending on the price movement. It's possible to choose the 'Narrow' preset for higher yield, but I chose the 'Common' just to play it safe. I'm now ranked #5,743 with 12,277 points on Kim Exchange (updated weekly). And if you have extra weETH: It's possible to deposit it back on Ionic to earn a 12% supply APR. So to recap, here's my latest strategy: ❍ Bridge to Mode with @retro_bridge ❍ Mint ezETH from ETH with @renzoai ❍ Deposit ezETH in @ionicmoney ❍ Borrow weETH with ezETH as collateral (check pool ratio first) ❍ Deposit into the weETH-WETH pool on @kimprotocol _______________________________________ Other tasks to complete @0xmercle has an MBADGE for Mode, where you earn XP for completing tasks on Mode. app.mercle.xyz/r/ZfrmXBTf4AMv… I'd recommend completing all Layer3 quests as it boosts your on-chain footprint on Mode too. Everyone tells you to deposit liquidity on Stargate for the Linea Surge campaign. But if you have existing liquidity for the ZRO airdrop: There’s no point being overexposed to Stargate. When you can use your capital to get 3 other airdrops. Here’s the route I used instead: _______________________________________ Linea lowered the ETH requirement to 0.1 ETH (previously 1 ETH) for the Early Adopter multiplier. The snapshot will be taken before 15 April, so it’s best to deposit your funds ASAP. You do not get any additional bonuses from adding more funds, so I’m just adding 0.101 ETH. After looking through Linea's Discord (their FAQ page was so vague): I found the most optimal route that positions me for 3 airdrops: _______________________________________ ❍ Deposit ≥ 0.1 ETH into @renzoai for ezETH ❍ Deposit ezETH into @zerolendxyz ❍ Earn points with @turtleclubhouse This strategy has been confirmed by a mod on Linea's Discord, so we should be safe.
