It remains one of my strongest experiences of life that the most enthusiastic supporters of these ‘progressive’ leftwing parties always live in nice areas, are financially comfortable, and have little to no clue what life is like for people living in the more deprived parts of the country. Not of course that that stops them from lecturing those same people on what they should think.

It remains one of my strongest views that 72 very middle class constituencies effectively opting out of the serious choices facing our country by electing Liberal Democrats is the worst form of non-seriousness.

Wonderful. Darren Jones has been community noted for saying Digital ID will be "voluntary". He's lying. They are forcing people to sign up through the back door or face prosecution. This is why Labour hate X. They can't tell lies on this platform. I utterly despise them.

If you take away all the accusations of ‘misogyny’ etc, I believe this was ultimately about being seen as anti-establishment. It’s a message that says ‘we’re not like the men in grey suits who came before’. I’m not saying it’s right, but bearing in mind younger people’s experience of politics in the last couple of decades, you can absolutely see why it might appeal to them.

@PippaP22 @Falcon_Malteser On balance I'd say videos of what she's saying have gone further because people are raging about the outfit, leading to debate. It's a very Ed Davey approach to gaining more traction if you're looking at it from a marketing perspective

Lots of fair comments about whether it is misogyny to comment on a woman's appearance but also quite a strong tone of you a little lowly person are not allowed to have an opinion on how MPs present themselves in parliament, if doesn't belong to you, none of your business

@SophieLB1 @Falcon_Malteser Whilst I absolutely do not agree with the misogyny, or comments about appearance, do you not see that it’s exactly because she wore this outfit that people are focusing on her, and not her words. Sometimes the etiquette (for want of a better word) is there for a reason.
