@PissyCanuck @Polysesouvient It's subjective for this. For me personally, it depends on the receiver on whether you modify the receiver substantially or not and if not, for me it's still the same firearm though that could change depending on how you view it.

@Pubgloginaccou1 @Polysesouvient As for this, I don’t know your skills so I’ll roll with it. I will say that I know little of straight pull, heard of them and saw them online, that’s it. The others, you would need some serious machining, knowledge of firearm pressures, and a host of other skills.

@PissyCanuck @Polysesouvient About the gun registry, lack of gun registry for places like Canada since 2012 meant that this kind of mods, cannot be detected unless misused or attempted to be distributed/traded.

@PissyCanuck @Polysesouvient I also know how to convert manual firearms into semi automatic, it doesn't take a genius or a rocket science in reality if you know how firearms work. Straight pulls are in my opinion one of the easiest to do so and while less ideal, traditional bolt action can be done as well.

@UultimateSavage @RebelNewsOnline Elephant gun? Yes it comes in large calibres but also 224 WBY mag and 240 WBY mag. Not by any means large game rifle. When they ban they don’t differentiate calibre generally. It’s XXXX make, XXXX model and variants.

@UultimateSavage @RebelNewsOnline They ban 2500 they say. This amounts in the 10’s of thousands if you take each make/model/variant in all the calibres. They make the number look low. Then they say there’s 19,000 guns still available. For this stat they use make/model/variant/calibre. Make the number look high

@Pubgloginaccou1 @Polysesouvient The Canadian gun registry is dead. After it was supposedly destroyed (I know Quebec and others kept copies illegally) there was many years that you could sell and not get a reference number. This means the lists in existence wouldn’t be close to accurate.

You would think people that went through that would want a force multiplier that a handgun would give them so they were never a victim again. I will continue to use my 1973 weatherby 300 mag mark v deluxe to hunt elk with. It has been in the family since 1973 and will stay in the family. It has never commited a crime nor has anyone who used it. It is a bolt action hunting rifle not a weapon of war nor is it “Assualty” in anyway. This rifle will be in my possession and used for hunting for generations to come. That’s just a fact.

Which proves that @MarkJCarney 's ban effects hunting rifles. Canadians are basically banned from hunting in Africa, because the majority of the "Africa caliber" hunting rifles are on the ban list.

@RebelNewsOnline For those unaware. This is a Weatherby Mark V. It’s banned now. She says they aren’t banning hunting rifles, only weapons of war and rapid fire. It’s bolt action and no military wants it. She is misinformation and needs a community note stapled to her forehead.

@IrreverentOtter @MarkJCarney Not just 416 rigby It was banned in all calibres. The bans didn’t differentiate calibre, just banned the gun. This was available in many calibres including 240 WBY Mag and 224 WBY Mag.

Wow - Provost has gone totally unhinged - the anti-legal-firearm-owner zealots are going nuts trying to convince Canadians that legal firearms including numerous hunting and recreational firearms like the GSG-16 are "assault-style firearms", when there is NO SUCH THING.
