I’m gonna preface this with this: I believe in Jalen Duren future still very strongly.
But.
The Pistons were up by 15 when he checked in. Since then, he picked up a 3 second violation and just now was at the wrong angle in his PnR coverage and gave up a wide-open layup to Allen. DET is now up just 7.
This is too important of a game for JB to ride with him no matter what. He needs to make some decisions.

DET’s defense should show up today. Both teams aren’t good offensively in the halfcourt. Only one of the teams have a defense of the decade type of peak.
If DET buys into that and relies on tha from opening tip instead of waiting until the 3Q, they’ll be in great position.
