The Yoruba need the Igbo more than the Hausa do, which is why many Yoruba constantly preach “One Nigeria.” Deep down, they know that if the Igbo eventually break away and form an independent nation, the political balance in Nigeria would shift heavily in favor of the North, leaving the Yoruba increasingly marginalized in national power dynamics.

Election was conducted in Lagos precisely Kosofe. The result was collated in Kosofe. @HonMayorDele won in Kosofe. D state party gave the winner from Kosofe his mandate to represent the good people of Kosofe. But someone who believe it is inheritance to hijack the ticket is waiting for Abuja to choose the winner. Most times, it seems like I am leaning towards APC despite the fact that I am not an APC member. The reason is in this list below. The only political party that protects the interest of the Yoruba in Nigeria right now, is APC and that is all that matters. Everyone on this list should be the only people representing the good people of Lagos. Yoruba top to bottom.

BREAKING: NIGERIA'S GDP GREW BY 3.89% IN Q1 2026, UP FROM 3.13% IN Q1 2025. I don't expect you to understand these numbers or believe them. I am not writing this for everybody but those who know the meaning of numbers in economics. Those who know that the first indicators of growth are numbers. In fact 95% of those who may read this post may not understand what this means, so let’s simplify it: GDP growth means the Nigerian economy is PRODUCING more goods, more services, more business activity and more wealth than before. Now here is the controversial part. For almost a year, many people said the Tinubu reforms would “destroy Nigeria.” Fuel subsidy removal was called impossible. FX reforms were called suicidal. Tax reforms were mocked. Port reforms were resisted. They said the British investment in Nigerian port in Lagos is still borrowing. But numbers don’t lie. Nigeria just recorded one of its strongest quarterly growth improvements in recent years. And the biggest shock? This growth is not mainly from oil. According to NBS data: • Non-oil sector contributed 96.08% of GDP growth • Telecommunications grew strongly • Construction expanded • Financial services increased • Trade improved • Agriculture rebounded massively • Manufacturing growth improved to 3.29% This is important because serious economies don’t grow by crude oil alone anymore. China did not become China by selling crude oil. India did not become India through subsidy economics. Indonesia removed painful fuel subsidies too before stabilizing. Even Egypt went through harsh IMF-backed reforms before recovery started. Nigeria was living a fake economic life for years: • Artificial dollar rates • Unsustainable fuel subsidies • Debt-financed consumption • Import addiction • Low productivity You cannot build a $1 trillion economy on “share the money” politics. Painful reforms were inevitable. Yes, inflation is still hurting. Yes, food prices remain high. Yes, ordinary Nigerians are under pressure. But economic recovery ALWAYS starts from stabilization before prosperity. You cannot cure malaria without bitter drugs . Look at the indicators carefully: • GDP growth rose from 3.13% to 3.89% • Services contributed over 57% of the economy • Non-oil sectors are dominating growth • Construction contribution increased to 4.85% • Oil sector growth improved from 1.87% to 2.57% • Real estate remained one of the top contributors • Telecoms and digital economy continue expanding rapidly. Even more interesting: Nigeria achieved this growth DESPITE lower oil output. That means the economy is slowly becoming less dependent on crude oil — something economists have demanded for decades. This is why Lagos keeps outperforming many African cities: Less politics. More execution. More infrastructure. More private sector collaboration. Economic reforms are never popular in the short term. But history shows countries that delayed reforms usually collapsed deeper: Venezuela. Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka. Lebanon. You cannot demand Scandinavian living standards with a subsidy-dependent economy and weak productivity. The reforms are not complete yet. The suffering is real. But the macroeconomic indicators are beginning to show signs of stabilization and recovery. And whether people like Tinubu or not politically, the numbers are beginning to suggest that some of the reforms are working.

Rotus of the Arise TV broke the hearts of the haters. The overshot debt profile of the nation has been the hit line on the lips of evil wishers. Rotus intellectually put the Nigerian debt profile in perspective: - The naira devaluation blew up the debt in dollar status. - Nigeria is in a safe net with borrowing. - South Africa and Egypt are three times more indebted than Nigeria on dollars status. - Nigeria has been steady in debt servicing unlike Ghana, Zimbabwe, and several other African nations. - Nigeria is not on IMF debt list President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is intentional in courage and economic rebuildingpursuit.

The Nigerian Story Is Bigger and Deeper Than One Man In Abuja. I am not joking when I say that I SINCERELY want Peter Obi to become the next President of Nigeria. I am extremely being sincere about that wish. I want Nigerians to finally learn that their problem is not the President, regardless of his ethnicity or tribe. Our problem is deeper than that. I am willing to bet with anyone that if Peter Obi became President in 2027 or thereafter, our wailing and weeping would double or triple. The suffering we have now would be child's play compared to it. And guess what? It won't be Peter Obi's fault. The forces warring against Nigeria are bigger than what one President can topple or address. It is systemic. It is endemic. It is structural. It is cultural. It is fundamental. Nigeria is not needing to be reformed, but to be re-imagined. Nigeria will not work until we re-imagine Nigeria. We have to approach Nigeria in a different way and manner. Someone said that Nigeria is too ethnically diverse to work as a federal state. That Nigeria has to start rethinking the current federal system. I absolutely agree. We have blamed everyone and everything without addressing the real problem, and I think that's because we are scared to address the real problem. Blaming is easy, fixing is hard. We used to blame the colonial masters. They left after much protests and calls for liberation. We then started blaming our founding fathers who became founding politicians. And then we had the first republic. And then the military ruled us. We complained. Ethnic strife and rivalry ruled. And then we had a civil war where everyone blamed everyone. And then we had the second republic. We blamed the politicians again. The military got tired of the mess (again) and ruled with an iron fist, and we started blaming the military (again). Nigerians began to lament that Nigeria would be better IF ONLY we got rid of the military and went back to civilian rule. We got rid of the military and switched back to civilian rule otherwise known as democdacy in 1999. Since 1999, it has been 27 years of uninterrupted civilian government and we are back to blaming politicians. During that 27-year period, we have had Presidents from the South-West, North-West and South-South. The only region left out is the South-East. And that's why i SINCERELY want Peter Obi to become President so that gullible people can understand that it is not about one man or one ethnicity. But that Nigeria is BROKEN. Fundamentally broken. Each time I watch people talk about Peter Obi going in to change things and turn things around, I shake my head at their naivety. I see such people as political infants and historical toddlers. They simply do not have the cerebral bandwidth to understand the history of politics in Nigeria and Nigerian history as a whole. Any one man under the current system will Fail, even if that man is Jesus Christ Himself. That's not blasphemy. That's objective fact backed by history. Your best intentions will fail in a bad system. Peter Obi will be a monumental failure as President just like his predecessors. NIGERIA under the current system and structure is doomed to fail. Like I said, Nigeria does not need Reform or a Reformer. Nigeria needs Re-imagination. And that might require some courage and uncomfortable discussions. Sometimes in order to FIX something, you have to first BREAK IT. I won't say more, but wise people already know.

Kwara is bleeding. Tonight, families across the Ikerin/Ajuba axis of Ekiti Local Government Area are living through unimaginable pain. Innocent men, women, and children have been killed, many others injured, and several residents abducted by terrorists. Behind every number is a family waiting, praying, and hoping for the safe return of their loved ones. No community should have to live in fear. No child should be taken from their home. No parent should go to bed not knowing where their son or daughter is. We cannot allow this tragedy to be ignored. We call on the Federal Government, security agencies, and the Kwara State Government to intensify rescue efforts, secure vulnerable communities, and bring those responsible to justice. Our people deserve protection. Our communities deserve peace. #KwaraIsBleeding #RescueOurPeople #JusticeForKwara #EndInsecurity #SaveKwara

I wasn’t drawn to this false narrative until yesterday. Please stop spreading this propaganda. What they were actually chanting was ‘Oki takeover’, not ‘Obi takeover’. This video is from Ode-itsekiri Ward 1, Warri South, where supporters of Hon. Augustine Uroye (popularly known as OKI), the APC lawmaker representing Warri South constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, was celebrating his victory in the party primary. They were jubilating for him to “take over,” calling his alias “Oki” not “Peter Obi.”

The Tinubu Presidency took us 30 whole years to achieve. The SDP bloc who didn't betray MKO formed AD along with Afenifere. Those who survived the Obasanjo tsunami moved to both AC and ACN. Along the way, things got very tough but Tinubu, Osoba & Bisi Akande were determined to get to the promised land. We had to control the region fully before seeking that handshake across the Niger to form the APC. Thus, we invested our political currency to reap more in 2023. It has taken sacrifices, blood & sweat to get here. At a point, FOUR states were stolen via rigging by Obasanjo in 2007, a so called Yorubaman but it took a foreign forensic expert to retrieve them. This is not a Presidency any clown will snatch easily. It is forged in the blood of matyres & sacrifices of thousands. MKO wasn't compensated for in 1999 cuz his 'enemy' got the mandate. True compensation started in 2023 & 4 years isn't near enough! E fe laa!!! @ogunfeminire
