In an ideal world, we'd sign Anderson AND Tonali. But unfortunately this board continue to show time and time again that they lack ambition. If we signed Anderson, i'm almost certain we'd play him in the 6 just to accommodate Mainoo which I don't agree with, he's a natural 8 in my eyes with the ability to play in the 6 occasionally. I think what will end up happening is Anderson ends up choosing city, we then pivot to signing tonali and then that ultimately leaves us with Baleba as our second midfield signing. And if i'm being honest, that fills me with absolutely no joy.

United could basically announce the signing of Yan Diomande already, or? He must be 95%? 90%? Nobody other than us are looking for a LWer. Diomande can also play RW — but a team like Liverpool can’t genuinely be looking to sign another right footed winger when having Gakpo, Ekiteke, Wirtz, Rio N and co already? He could of course look to stay another year, you never know. But he would be a perfect fit behind Cunha at LW. Deadly 1 on 1. Always takes on his defender. So strong physically and fast.
