2022: we're not leaving kyiv
2026: we do not recommend you go to moscow

Zelensky: We have received appeals from some states close to Russia saying that their representatives are planning to be in Moscow. A strange desire… on these days. We do not recommend it.

Today is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism. The day when all of Europe marks the end of the most terrible war of the 20th century. A war after which there should have been only genuine peace. That was the dream back then, when the guns of World War II began to fall silent.
That war turned our land into a battlefield of brutal fighting, abuse in occupied territory, and the mass destruction of people and life. The losses of the Ukrainian people were among the greatest in World War II. And the contribution of Ukrainians to the defeat of the Nazis was also among the greatest. Millions of Ukrainians, serving in various armies of the Anti-Hitler Coalition states, fought against Nazism. Millions of Ukrainians were among the victors, having done everything in their power to ensure that absolute evil was defeated.
Unfortunately, 81 years later, we are once again forced to stop evil – evil that is just as absolute. Evil that brings nothing but ruins and abuse. And evil based on a similar ideology of enmity. An updated version of Nazism, marked: made in Russia.
Today, such Russian aggression can and must be defeated by the united free world. And I am grateful to everyone who helps us defend life. I am grateful to everyone who is not allowing this Russian regime to dictate to the world what comes next. Defending people’s lives and the freedom of nations from Putin is an absolutely dignified way to honor the memory of those who did not allow Hitler to subjugate Europe and the world.
Eternal gratitude to all who fought against Nazism and liberated people! Blessed memory to all innocent victims of World War II! Glory to every defender of life! Glory to Ukraine!

Ukrainian Heroes Whom Russia Falsely Labels as "Nazis":
Stepan Bandera: Spent years (1941–1944) imprisoned in the Nazi concentration camp Sachsenhausen (Zellenbau bunker) for refusing to rescind the Act of Restoration of the Ukrainian State. His brothers were murdered by the Nazis in Auschwitz.
Roman Shukhevych: The commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), who issued orders to attack Nazi forces. Furthermore, he and his wife, Nataliya, provided false documents to Jews and hid a Jewish girl, Irene Reichenberg, saving her from the Holocaust.
The UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army): Fought on two fronts—against both the Nazis and the Soviets. Historians estimate that the UPA engaged in hundreds of battles against the Nazi occupiers, resulting in thousands of German casualties and liberating entire regions of Western Ukraine from German administration.
Russia (real name Moscovia)
At the same time, it is an indisputable fact that approximately 1.5 million Russians fought for the Third Reich (in units like the ROA - Russian Liberation Army under General Vlasov, and various SS divisions). Before 1941, the entire Soviet Union was a formal ally of Nazi Germany under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, jointly invading Poland and holding joint military parades. The Soviet regime shared a similar totalitarian ideology and, through the Holodomor and Gulags, committed even greater crimes against humanity than the Nazis did at that time.
Today, we witness in Russia the exact same ideology, the same crimes, and the same false accusations against Ukrainians. Demonstrating blatant Nazism, Russians chauvinistically call Ukrainians "khokhly" and call for the mass genocide of the Ukrainian nation. They cynically label this "denazification"—which, in reality, means the total destruction of the Ukrainian people.

ZELENSKY’S HAND IS GETTING STRONGER
Ukraine has launched a devastating campaign deep behind Russian lines, according to Military News Update, successfully isolating Donetsk and limiting Moscow’s ability to reinforce its forces.
Russian ammunition depots, fuel reserves, logistics hubs, and missile bases are being systematically destroyed, leaving frontline units without resources.
Ukrainian drones now dominate the battlefield, turning supply routes into death zones. From FPV drones to long-range strikes, Ukraine is choking Russian movement behind the front line, with convoys being destroyed before they can deliver critical supplies.
Russian forces are rationing ammunition, reducing artillery fire, and struggling to maneuver armored units due to severe fuel shortages.
The collapse of logistics is delaying Moscow’s summer offensive. Analysts warn this could become the major turning point of the war.
If Donetsk falls into full operational isolation, Russia’s grip on the East could quickly begin to unravel.
Modern warfare, it is becoming clear, is no longer won by brute force alone.
As winter approaches, pressure on Russian troops could intensify even further, while isolated units face exhaustion and collapsing morale.
Ukraine is no longer simply defending territory — it is dismantling Russia’s entire operational system piece by piece.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelenskyy now “have the cards.”
Donald Trump has suddenly begun showering Ukraine with compliments.
The U.S. president has changed his rhetoric toward Ukraine because Ukraine’s and Zelenskyy’s positions have become stronger.
For how long? That remains the question.
“This is the political mood of the moment. To use Trump’s own language — right now Zelenskyy ‘has the cards.’
And this is visible in Europe’s reaction. And across the world.
They clearly understand that Putin’s options are limited — in reality, this war has left him with no real alternatives.
Trump himself has ended up in a difficult position, caught between several crises at once and without a clear exit strategy.
“That explains these swings — from compliments to contradictory decisions. In the end, it creates the impression that both Putin and Trump are trying to use each other to buy time and stabilize their own situations,” believes Roman Bezsmertnyi.
As a reminder, Trump unexpectedly praised Zelenskyy and Ukraine: “Zelenskyy is clever, but I like him,” and “Ukrainians are the best warriors in Europe.”
In addition, the U.S. State Department approved the sale of high-precision aerial bombs worth a significant amount.

As the world celebrates Victory in Europe Day, let us not forget how World War II began — with a deal.
In 1939, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. This agreement set the stage for the joint destruction of Europe.
Hitler invaded Poland from the west, and Stalin followed from the east. The USSR then attacked Finland, annexed the Baltics, and seized territory from Romania. Between 1939 and 1941, the Soviets supplied Nazi Germany with oil, grain, and raw materials — fueling its conquest of Europe.
Stalin was not Hitler’s victim. He was his partner in crime. Together, they ignited a war that would claim over 70 million lives.
Truth matters more than propaganda.

“Ukraine offered Russia a ceasefire again, far from the first such proposal. This time, starting from May 6.
Ukraine was ready to ensure complete silence. In response, Russia delivered only more strikes and more threats.
They want Ukraine’s permission to safely hold their parade for a few hours once a year, and then continue killing Ukrainians the next day. Russian officials are already openly talking about strikes after May 9.
An absolutely bizarre and morally bankrupt logic. We also see that representatives of some states close to Russia intent to attend the Moscow parade. A strange decision, these days… We would not recommend it.”
