Pitteuchar East Primary School

Room 5 children are learning to write algorithms for @BBCmicrobit this term. Yesterday afternoon they challenged each other to be active after making step counters! Mrs Hay was very impressed with how the children supported each other to solve problems and achieve success.

Well done to Room 2, who impressed our visitors from @SMART_Tech with all the wonderful things they can do on the SMART Board. Shout out to the House Captains, who gave the visitors a tour of the school. They all said you were a credit to PEPS. #ConnectionsThatMatter

Room 5 had a very special visitor today 🥇 Paralympic champion and world recorder holder Ben Sandilands @FifeAC! After watching him win his Gold medal in Paris we were all so excited to meet him and give him our congratulations cards. Thanks for coming Ben!

What a way to round of our Paralympics project! Room 5 loved watching Kirkcaldy's Ben Sandilands storm to the Gold medal in Paris today. They wrote him some congratulations letters after the excitement of the race. They're hoping they might get to see that medal for real...!

Our new P1s had a fab first day today but two other people had their first day today too. We are pleased to welcome Mrs Tall as our new headteacher and Mr Pitblado as our new depute.

Room 8 have been busy making this amazing structure using Kalpa blocks.

We are so proud of Lewis in P3. Engineers awarded him Highly Commended for his 'Never Run out of Toilet Roll' invention in the @Leadersaward competition for @primaryengineer This is a fantastic achievement as 10’s of thousands of pupils submitted into the competition. Well done!

We’re very proud of this year’s netball team and the other players that joined us for yesterday’s tournament. There was some excellent teamwork, positive attitudes and most of all everyone had fun! Go Team PEPS!

Thank you so much to Larissa from @stclairvet for coming in to visit Room 2 today. It was a very busy morning but I'm glad to say all our class teddies were treated and are recovering well.

So so proud if my class. They absolutely loved teaching the residents of the care home their signing song. They also stayed for a little while after the performance and just had a wee blether.

Today, our P1s visited a local care home and taught the residents some BSL. I'm so proud. Thanks to @l80pdn for enthusing young and older learners.
