One of the central themes was that knowledge, without practical application, has limited value. The class focused on how participants can strategically align their existing skill sets with opportunities across both the formal and informal segments of the Bitcoin ecosystem. The conversation was dynamic, pragmatic, and deeply insightful. Our Bitcoin mining class was 🔥! @jesse_hodl from @HashrateUp came through, and when someone who actually runs mining operations shows up to teach, it hits different. He walked in carrying an actual ASIC miner, which was already exciting. Then he broke the first myth: mining is not about solving complex mathematical puzzles. It is brute force. Infinite trial and error. That reframe alone changed how we see the whole process. He showed us how mining went from mere laptops to full industrial operations. And something he said that stuck: "It is of utmost importance that Bitcoin uses electricity. Nobody will cheat if there's no benefit to it. That's why mining Bitcoin using natural resources is important. They will play the game by the rules because that is the only way they can gain." Africa needs to hear this. Bitcoin mining goes where the stranded energy is. Location agnostic, time agnostic, controllable. The opportunity is right here 🚀 #BitcoinDada #BitcoinMining

ATTENTION PLEASE‼️ Over the past months, we’ve been working intentionally on building real infrastructure for female developers in Bitcoin, not temporary programs, but dedicated infrastructure that provide tools, collaborative spaces and resources required to design, test, contribute to open source and bitcoin solutions with direct impact across Africa. From this vision comes Dada Hub, the first physical Bitcoin hub in Africa, designed for open-source development, technical learning, research, collaboration, and hands-on building. The hub will host developer meetups, study and working groups, mentorship, protocol education, and early-stage experimentation, all focused on creating practical, locally relevant, and globally impactful Bitcoin solutions. To bring Dada Hub to life, we are raising funds via @geyserfund .
