@BeardedSonOfNel Pretty solid interpretation of Gradius. Usually I find shooters made for retro handhelds to be kinda 2nd rate, but this one seems to stand with its console counterparts. 126,400

I never played it, ever, until about 5-6 years ago. Lots of really great, polished games. I was addicted to Double Dragon Advance on my recent vacation. Admittedly I mostly emulate it, but I did have a GBA SP until I sold it a few months ago.

@jjsquintz @Notaspud_ @jeranism Dude’s over here calling everyone “retard” while denying objective reality like a cult lunatic. So the went to Australia in summer to fake a vast landscape of snow, because that makes all kinds of sense. 🤡🤡🤡

Have you ever smoked a midnight joint under the sun in #Antarctica? Didn't think so. Did you ever lead people astray & claim the Earth was flat for 10 yrs & then you found out you were wrong & when you said so, all your former friends hated u & call you sell-out? Didn't think so.

@FlavioVolpe1 The “we” here refers to the only Americans that Trump gives a shit about. The only Americans he has ever given a shit about. Not even trying to hide it anymore. But yet, the cult lives on.

@GoodTroubleShow Let’s keep this in perspective here. I’ll bet you $100 that Trump didn’t even know what the Strait is until last week.

This is a tanker on fire in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump officials just told Congress — behind closed doors — that they didn't plan for Iran closing the strait. They launched a war without planning for the most predictable consequence in the history of U.S. national security. This is what MAGA voted for. Gas prices up 51 cents in a week. Zero tankers moving through the world's most critical oil chokepoint. And an administration that literally admitted to Congress they didn't see it coming. Elections have consequences. This one's on fire.

@Sulkhan @contractorkeith @sciencegirl It’s not that simple because these days the tech is so entrenched that an individual’s choice to disconnect from it makes them almost like a leper. The insidiousness and 2nd order effects of the tech are the whole point here, not that it enables you to watch cat videos on the bus

@goodbreffis While we’re stereotyping, if you truly think people “pretend” to like IPA then I’m guessing you probably drink White Claw and eat nothing but chicken nuggies and pizza.

@CTVNews I admit I used to get upset by this stuff, many months ago. But now, it’s clear Trump is just a sad troll, flailing under the weight of scandals and a hamfisted Iran disaster, trying to find ways to feel “tough.” Ignore.

@WeTheBrandon A semi-illiterate POTUS attempting to manipulate perception using semantics is about as effective as a basset hound trying to dupe its owner into more treats using calculus. So embarrassing

The non-war-war which wasn't started by Trump but was started by Trump because Iran was about to initiate a nuclear attack on us...with nuclear weapons that were OBLITERATED last year by Trump...is ending, except it's not ending because it's just beginning...but it is ending--soon--but we don't know when, and if you question that you're a "Panican," but the only reason Trump indicated it would be ending--which it's not, but it is (not)--is because he completely panicked when he saw the oil prices exploding--which, weren't exploding, they were merely jumping up with joy at Trump having (not) started/ended the non-war-war against Iran. ^^That's the president's recent speech in a nutshell.

@Ravenismeee After separating from my first wife, my health took a hit because my diet got sketchy. I realized changes were needed. Watched cooking shows, bought some kitchen gear, scoured internet for recipes, and then practice, practice, practice. Many years later and I’m a machine 👨🏼‍🍳

@newstart_2024 Childless-by-choice people think they understand what they’re opting out of, but they haven’t a clue. They think nieces/nephews and dogs are somehow comparable. 🤣 To be fair, I was that guy for a long time but now with 2 amazing kids, I can see how clueless I was.

Jimmy Carr shared a brutally honest take on life without kids that will hit hard for anyone who's ever weighed the choice: “Not having kids was like living life with a cheat code on the video game. Super easy. Low stakes. No real skin in the game.” He continues: Once you have children, your heart literally lives outside your body. You worry about mortality differently — because now dying means saying goodbye to them. Suddenly you're not playing on easy mode anymore. You're at the high-stakes table. And his final word? “It’s very joyful.” In 54 seconds he captures something profound: The deepest fulfillment often comes from the highest risk — the one where you have everything to lose. Parents: Does this perfectly describe the shift you felt? Child-free: Does it change how you see the trade-off?

@MeghanEMurphy Great take. I’ve got 2 kids under 10 and I think these “parties” are some of the most cringe-ass embarrassing shit imaginable. Let’s call them what they are: vanity projects for the parents.

"Gender reveal" parties are the wildest thing to me. Literally no one on the planet cares about the sex of your baby. What kind of deluded narcissist throws a party to force everyone around you to feign excitement at a thing they don't give one single shit about.

@Arturmaks I’m not saying I like this war, but my takeaway from Carney’s speech wasn’t that the way forward should be knee-jerk opposition to the US, but rather the cessation of knee-jerk support.
