This movie's like a godsend for studying blocking, almost every single shot is crafted SO damn well. Glad I could appreciate it on a bigger screen

Kids in 1995 saw this in the same 2-hour span that they watched Mechanical Violator Hakaider in

@NCyotee @Ultrakyriel Mecha is short for mechanical. The term in its original Japanese meaning just refers to any type of machinery. Also in Japan the phrase “robot anime” is used instead of mecha anime. The mecha/robot pilot/autonomous distinction is purely an invention of the west.
English

@Ultrakyriel Um, what?
I don't think you know what any of those words mean.
If it has a pilot, it's not a robot.
English

Mecha aren't just robots. Cars, and all sorts of vehicles can be mechas too.
Thinking mecha = only robots is already a wrong mindset about what mechas are.

@Gaius_Irae I'm mecha fan, because I think giant fucking robots are inherently a cool thing, don't give a fuck about engineering, realism or the way this shit works because it's all magic shit, Square-Cube Law and all that, no mecha can be hard SF in the first place.

@S0NGT0THESIREN I feel like its reputation created a desire for contrarianism in this specific case for whatever reason.
English

@PixelFerret_ exactly!!!! like to me that feels crazy considering this films reputation
English

@kindaveryfurry You need a simple majority in the House to impeach, which just starts a trial basically. Then the Senate needs a 2/3rds majority to actually remove from office. Dems would have to win basically every Senate race or convince over a dozen Republicans to remove him from power.
English

@_TheSmartAlec1 Alright, I don't know anything about it but correct me if I'm wrong (lol)
I bet impeachment like this doesn't do shit so it doesn't matter anyway
Am I right?
