Just finished our first build that allows you to create C2PA enabled AI images with the @OpenAI DALL·E API. They are signed at creation with a custom assertion for the AI model and prompt used. Old news, but it's definitely possible that Authentic AI will be serious fun! 🙃

After a really inspiring Adobe MAX, it’s time to get back to work. We’re more motivated than ever to make authentic media the standard for online images.

In addition to using C2PA enabled media to combat misinformation, we are adding the ability for users to share and collaborate through the embedded manifest history. Check out this demo of us being able to edit a tiny image by accessing the original high resolution ingredients.

We're really looking forward to this session!

As we promote image authenticity, our goal is to consider every step of the process. We know that capture, editing, publishing, and maintenance are all critical so, with everything we do, we’re thinking about how each step affects or is affected by the rest of the process.

A lot of the value in creating tools that support images with authenticity data revolves around combating mis- and disinformation in digital content, but we’re working on some fun and interesting things that use this technology too. Stay tuned!

When browsing social media or other websites, what level of trust do you have for the images you’re seeing? Do you feel like you have to fact check every image? How would you go about that?

No one wants to live in a world where we need a full recording of a digital image’s origin and provenance in order to simply believe what we see. But if we do live in that world, we want to make that information durable, secure, and accessible.
