🚨 It’s actually embarrassing… Uni-1 just broke the AI image game. I drew an ugly rough sketch of a house on purpose. My thought: “Can it really understand architecture, composition and lighting?” Exact prompt: “Make the house sketch realistic, same view angle” Result: cinematic perfection in one shot. This model actually thinks. Game over.

Google recently rolled out an update to AI Studio that appears to be severely unstable. For the past 10+ hours, the platform has been largely unusable, with constant errors affecting core workflows. Many of us are not casually experimenting — we are actively building real applications on top of this platform. When something breaks at this scale, it doesn’t just inconvenience users; it completely halts development. A major concern is the closed nature of AI Studio. We cannot easily export a project, continue working in another environment, and return later. Because of this dependency, a broken update effectively locks developers out of their own work until the platform is fixed. This raises an important question: how does a platform of this importance get deployed in a state where it disrupts so many active builders? I want to be clear I genuinely respect Google and the innovation happening in AI right now. However, the reliability standards on the AI Studio side currently feel inconsistent with that reputation. A production update that cripples workflows suggests gaps in testing, rollout strategy, or contingency planning. Developers need transparency, communication, and a platform they can depend on. I wonder when AI will be fully integrated into the major 3D DCC apps, rather than relying on standalone AI tools that only mimic certain aspects of the 3D experience? I think the real breakthrough will come when AI augments and allows full control over 3D DCCs, instead of AI apps with only a fraction of the power and control of traditional 3D DCCs. Did I say DCC too much? 😂
