The odd one is the ferrobus between Sucre and Potosí. An old road bus put on rail wheels, grinding up toward Potosí at close to 4,000m. In the doc a German tourist is the only foreigner aboard. His line: "Everyone else takes the bus. You don't see anything if you do that."

Bolivia has two railway networks that don't connect to each other. One crawls through the eastern lowlands, the other climbs the Andes to nearly 4,000m. A documentary rode both. What the tracks tell you about the country, below. 🧵

Good convo guys, to be fair for Bolivia it could go two ways, things remain fairly similar as is OR the rules become more flexible during the next 3 years. My guess is things will become even more flexible since the government is actively working on opening up the country to investments and new residents

Imagine racing for 200 residency spots a day against people who applied in 2024. That's Paraguay right now. Temporary to permanent conversions eat the same bucket. No cap. No carve-out. No mercy. Bolivia's door is still open. Just saying. 🇧🇴

Yes and when Bolivia became the next plan-B trend then you will see Here also changes in the future. That’s with every program that became to popular. For people that want Paraguay then choose the property route or that movie investment route and skip temporary. But rules can still change. Minimum stay for to maintance etc. Best advice. When you do latam residency. Grab the whole package. Try as must countries as you can instead of counting on 1 or 2

Move real capital and Bolivia 🇧🇴 is not a good move. It is among the few countries that still taxes the worldwide assets of residents above roughly $4.3M, 1.4 to 2.4 percent a year. Paraguay 🇵🇾 has no wealth tax at all. Same zero on foreign income, but one of the two quietly taxes the capital you moved there. A faster door does not fix that.
