They should cancel Kingdom Hearts 4. The ship has sailed. Kingdom Hearts 3 was 7 years ago now. Half the time between KH2 & KH3 It is a near impossibility that this franchise will grow financially or culturally in its current state.

Hot take: Kingdom Hearts should do a full reboot. The story is retarded and the way you had to experience it during its development is damn near criminal, forcing people to buy multiple consoles, for side games and low-effort spin offs to fully grasp the narrative. KH4 is going to be like 30% awkward exposition trying to catch players up on *canceled obscure mobile game slop union 3* Back when KH2 dropped, this was my favorite franchise. With the time in between major releases and lack of news for years and years, to me, it's clear they need to start fresh. 🤷‍♂️
