Hi everybody! I'm relatively new to @Kalshi and this is the first time this has happened to me... They settled this before the match began. The match is not cancelled or anything. Did they settle this simply because they felt like it? Because of the rules of how "contracts" work, I just lose $92 because I bet the favorite? Does this mean someone who bet the underdog makes money on this? That logic doesn't make any sense to me. Someone educate me! I feel like I have been robbed😭

I understand that. This was pregame, before a possible forfeit/retirement could even happen. No tennis was played yet and I lost $92🤣 Supposedly the two players in this match are no longer playing each other, resulting in a settlement of the market. Kalshi gets a thumbs down from me on this one!😭

@PlusEvStick @iamjimmyross @Kalshi The thing w tennis on Kalshi is they have diff rules for forfeits. I’ve lost $ on this. They treat a forfeit as a loss in some cases (ok fine, the person drops out) but the conventional books treat it as a void. So the arb loses $. OddsJam does have that “hand” icon for these.

@iamjimmyross @Kalshi I agree, Kalshi has been amazing for many things since I started. Have you ever had problems with live tennis? I would think there would be no problems there. Maybe I am done with pre-game tennis on Kalshi

@PlusEvStick @Kalshi Yeah, I’ve gotten hit pretty hard on a couple tennis plays and then I’ve just decided not to use them anymore lol But Kalshi is still pretty amazing

@PlusEvStick @Kalshi Not 100% how to explain it, but this is part of the reason why I don’t really like doing tennis lol especially on books like Kalshi because you could lose one side and get voided on Kalshi
