Our Y1 students are measuring sound levels and lighting in and around the Roland Levinsky Building as part of their Building Physics module. Their collected data will contribute to a coursework report, presented as a professional document for an assumed client. @PlymUniApply

Our University of Plymouth Master's students stayed at Hawkers Cottages, North Cornwall, applying building performance skills from their MSc in Low Carbon Architectural Engineering. Huge thanks to the @LandmarkEngage1 for making this possible through the Landmark Futures scheme!

Our Y1 students got hands-on with data handling! Using heat flux sensors, loggers, and weather stations, they measured in-situ U-values in the RLB Building. Their findings will contribute to a professional report for an assumed client — practical skills for real-world challenges.

Our students explored thermal comfort by measuring indoor conditions, collecting votes, and running simulations. They also used thermography to assess heat loss. Findings will shape their reports on the space’s suitability—real-world learning in action! @PlymUniApply

Year 1 students had an interesting site visit yesterday at Sherford, beginning with an insightful introduction and followed by a tour of the construction site. Students gained a close-up view of typical construction and service details used in residential projects. @PlymUniApply

Our Year 2 students recently visited the Brickfields sports and community building project for the Plymouth Argyle Community Trust, where Classic Builders is leading the redevelopment of this sports centre. Students gained hands-on insights into key aspects of construction.
